Best ever!!!. They have breakfasts that are out of this world!! I don't get there very often but when I am in Duluth the Chalet is my stop for breakfast. They have the very best hashbrowns ever and the portions are huge. This is definitely the best place for breakfast. Very friendly and kick back attitude

Best breakfast in town!. Best Bloody Mary's and hashbrowns in town! My husband and I go at least 2x a month and I frequently meet friends there. If you looking for a "fancy" dining experience, your looking in the wrong direction. This is good, home-cooked food at a great price with HUGE portion sizes!

Cheap. I go there for the Turkey dinner. I believe it's only on Monday evenings. It's very cheap and has always been really good! The service is always fast and friendly!

German Food?. We went looking for German food and ended up with the Friday all-you-can-eat fish fry. The only German food on the menu was bratwurst and German potato salad! The fried Alaskan pollack was quite good -- I'd highly recommend a stop on Friday night.

I heard about this place from a radio ad. It talked about the breakfast. We decided to give it a shot and we were so glad we did. The menu has normal breakfast items, as well as unique meals for this place. This is honestly the best breakfast I have ever had. This place should seriously be nominated or recognized for their food. All of it was cooked perfectly, the staff was great and very hard working. Best breakfast in Minnesota no doubt. I cannot wait to go back next time we vacation to Duluth.

Very cute mom and Pop classic northern Minnesota bar. Good food, great jukebox. Wasn’t a lot of people there, really quiet for a Friday night.

Stopped in for breakfast and wow! This place is fantastic, the food was amazing! I ended up getting a veggie omelette with the hash browns stuffed inside and it was so good. Looks like a dive bar kinda place which is a vibe I love! I bet it’s a lot of fun to drink at during the night. If I’m back in Duluth I’ll for sure make this a stop!

I ordered their Swiss and mushroom burger along with one of their special subs. Their food was amazing and delicious. It is a hidden gem in Duluth! This is one of my favorite restaurants in Duluth. No crowds and no long waits. Definitely come and check out this place because they serve some of the best homemade food. Their food is even better than the stuff downtown. Their burger was juicy and great. They have an amazing cheese sauce that went with their special dish of the day. In addition, their onion rings itself was amazing. One of the Duluth residents recommended us this place and I would come back again to try their foods. Also, they have great servers and chill vibe. Delicious food and great staffs!

Met with a large group that straggled in. The restaurant was very busy. The wait staff was very accommodating and friendly. Debbie was our server and had a fresh pot of coffee for us at all times. Thank you Challet!

Had 12 in our group. Meals were warm at best an 3 didn't get their food until after the rest were done. Overall we love eating there on special occasions.
