Review Thai Express - Henderson

Tried this place for lunch with friends. We had the shrimp spring roll and peanut sauce, pad thai, red curry, and 2 drinks. Altogether, the meal cost $26, which I think is overpriced for what you get. Each dish was just ok in terms of flavor and kind of skimpy on vegetables and protein (i.e. there was no egg in the pad thai and the red curry had 2 pieces of chicken). On the contrary, the interior, to include bathroom of the restaurant was clean. Friendly staff. However, when considering the price point for food quality and quantity, Thailicious is still the best spot in town.

Clean and stylish interior. Relatively mild tasting for Thai food, but everything tasted fresh and delicious. Don't let the fish sauce smell as you enter discourage you!

Disappointing. I really wanted to love this place. I'd been waiting for them to open for a couple months now. I really love the look of the place, modern, nice layout, uncluttered. I like how your combination of protein to dish determines cost and I absolutely loved that I could get fish as my protein. I ordered tom yum soup, it's one of my absolute favorite dishes with fish. When I received my meal, I was surprised to learn that the fish is battered. There's no mention of that on the menu and I have issues with wheat. I didn't want to big deal it, so I yanked all the fish from my bowl before the batter could break down and just started eating the soup.. not good. I eat a lot of Thai and I had been expecting lemongrass and lime flavors but that's not what I got. Buyer beware. There wasn't anyone to speak with and I just abandoned ship. Chalk it up to experience. I won't be coming back though.

Always fresh & delicious. Love that they make the Pad Thai without peanut oil & put the peanuts on the side so my wife can eat it (nut allergy). Tasty & well priced. Never dissatisfied with the service & the owner is great.

Went here for a quick lunch, had the pad Thai which was pretty good, as well as the general curry that had good flavor. They do have the new Pepsi machine that is similar to the coca cola free style. Overall nice and clean as well as good atmosphere, definitely will go back.

The service is very nice although i did not like the chicken pad thai. It lacks freshness like more cilantro or lime. Its missing more of that thai authentic flavors. The tom yum shrimp is ok. My bowl had only 2 shrimps and 1/2. It also needs more lime, lemon grass.

I guess we should have known what we were getting into with a name like "thai express". And I'm totally stupefied by the good reviews. I'm convinced that these reviewers are either really drunk when they eat here, are paid to post a good review, or have NO clue what good food is?! The upside is: it's FAST & the place is clean. The downside: the food is bland, really gross & overpriced for the quality. They put more time & money into the decor than they do the actual FOOD. I guess we're just spoiled food snobs but I can't STAND paying for fake thai food. We got the tom kha coconut soup which was so bad we couldn't eat it. The spring roll was also terrible with 99% lettuce. And the thai tea was so nasty we didn't drink that either. And we normally LOVE thai food & yes we walked in very hungry! I will say the service was great, the woman even came up & asked how it was but the look on my face said it all. I guess once you've had authentic thai food its hard to eat the generic kind. We spent almost $30 and could have went to a real thai place & waited 5 extra minutes for the GOOD STUFF. Please, don't waste your time. I know some great places if anyone wants to message me for recommendations

I've been here several times and always been happy with my order. Today I placed an order for Pad Thai with shrimp through Grub Hub with instructions to add a side of peanuts and NO tofu. I received my order with no peanuts, had tofu and only 5 little shrimp. Slightly disappointed ..
