Shortway's Barn

Shortways Barn is always a good time. Anthony Puluse will be hosting his annual show on Sunday, June 26th @ 1:00.This year Anthony is also celebrating his graduation from High school, June 26th @ 1:00 at Shortway’s. Lots of unbelievable music all day. It is going to be a great day. Looking forward to seeing everyone. UPDATE: Great “Very Hot” Day. Music was unbelievable. School of Rock Montclair, School of Rock Waldwick and Anthony Puluse and Friends put on a great show all day. Loved when Some members of Waldwick jumped in to perform with Montclair. It was a nice experience. Lots of people commented on how good the bands were.

If I could give this place no stars I would. Have been here before and it was great but not tonight. A friend and I went and entered Shortways Barn around 7:45pm and were completely ignored by the wait staff. We stood by the dining room entrance for about 5 minutes and made eye contact with multiple wait staff walking past and none said anything or even acknowledged us. We saw another couple come and just sit down at a table so we followed suit and did the same. We sat at a table directly in the path of where the waitresses walked and were ignored once again for another 15 minutes. During that time I saw two other tables get waited on while we seemingly were invisible. After being ignored for about 20 minutes my friend and I decided to leave and we will not be coming back. We drove directly to another better restaurant which acknowledged our presence as patrons and sat us immediately. Shortways Barn is BLACKLISTED!

First time at Shortway Jan 14 to see Skeeter Pants, Peter and band was the best Country music and we danced all nite. Service was excellent and I finally found the pizza I have been looking for years.. We will be regulars.. Met a lot of nice people …. Hope to see Skeeter Pants back soon. The Dancebums Peg and Jim

This wonderful establishment is indescribable. If you want to meet some of the most down-home local people of every diversified group this is your place. Big supporter of law enforcement emergency services and Fire. If you are a veteran and don't go here you should they are honorable people. A true hometown gym that should not be missed. The food is also outstanding.

Driven by for many years. Just make a short lunch stop. Good food, friendly staff. Steak sandwich was really nice thin slices of steak, not shredded. I'm not a local so I won't be visiting at night but sure looks like everything it needs to be for a local evening dinner drink and watch the game place.

We took my husband here for a Father's Day surprise dinner because I saw they served wings. We LOVED this place. Very welcoming, great service and the food was delicious. Very reasonable also. Highly recommend the Reuben, Meatballs, personal pizza and pretzels. The wings were also a hit! Definitely want to go back, even though we live 40mins away.
