Kirker's

The place is nothing to look at - but often, the best places are just that! Street parking was doable, but I don't know how easy it is at any given hour or not. Regardless, huge menu of delicious food. I was especially fond of the potato pancakes. And the waitress was really wonderfully attentive, and offered to picture of my family while I was there, while I was fooling around with my camera. They take a small summer break around the 4th of July I understand, but it's nice that everyone gets a break - just check around that time that they're not on break!

The first time I went here, I sat in the booths, had some nice German food, and a few really good beers (in my opinion - Paulaner). The second time I came, I sat at the bar, split a pizza with my friend, and also had a really nice beer (same). Both times, I had a great experience due to the nice staff and excellent cooks. I'd highly recommend, if you haven't tried this before.

Fun place with awesome people and great German food. We took a crew there recently after the funeral of a childhood friend brought us all together again (not the repast. Just a group of us that went there after), and I think we were quite a surprise to them that we took the place over before noon! They were fun and engaging and warm and we left it up to them to choose our food, and they did not disappoint! Not only did they make great food for us, but they joined our conversations here and there just like they were one of the family. Was a great time and we all left there full and happy. Would absolutely recommend it!

Alright food, but it just isn't as good as it used to be. Had the Bavarian sampler and while portions are still generous, the food just isn't as delicious as it used to be. It feels like any German food you order is made haphazardly by a kitchen staff that is unfamiliar with German cooking. Wouldn't recommend the place it German is what you're looking for.

It's exactly as it should be. I've only been there during the afternoon and have only sat at the bar. They have a busy menu, but I stick to the basics. I enjoy Kirker's for the German menu, the beer, and the kind folks that work there. The pizza is what elevates Kirker's to local legend status. It's delicious, and I think I prefer it to Kinchleys.
