Fantastic sound side Drum trip with Captain Jerry on Got Em Charters. Tons of fun catching Drum and Blue Fish on light tackle. He also went above and beyond by being on call for our hurricane questions during Hurricane Maria. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Captain Jerry!

Best Marina in Hatteras! Dock is upgraded, Great boats, and Captains! The Marina has the best staff around they are super friendly and will help you with anything from picking a t shirt to finding a charter.

Just wanted to say that this is the second year in a row that we've vacationed in Hatteras and spent half of our vacation on boats out of Teach's Lair Marina. I have a wife and 12 and 14 year old daughters that love fishing. Teach's Lair Marina is awesome. They have great captains working out of that Marina that will put you on the fish. They have a beautiful store with great merchandise. Great fishing gear and clothing. Great service.
This year we went out on the Longer Days off-shore. Captain Tom Randall put us on the fish. Our first mate, Hunter, was the best first mate I've ever seen. He worked his tail off to show us a great time. He helped my younger daughters pull in amberjack, but made them feel like it was all them. Great experience. Those guys were awesome.
Captain Rick Scarborough on the Specktackler put us on the fish in-shore and we caught a bunch of speckled and gray trout as well as 8 puppy drum. He took an interest in my youngest daughter and gave her good tips on how to cast. He was top notch and I highly recommend him.
Captain Scotty Caldwell on the Elizabeth Grace put us on the fish a different day in-shore and we once again caught a bunch of speckled and gray trout and in the last hour we caught 4 puppy drum including a nice 27 incher and a few stingrays. He was just so high energy and positive and such a joy. He was extremely engaged with my daughters and really made the experience.
I love Teach's Lair Marina I feel like I'm not taking a vacation to Hatteras...I feel like I'm taking a vacation to Teach's Lair. Cannot speak highly enough of the marina, their captains, their store and the way it makes me feel when I am there. Thanx for another great week!
We went out on the Runaway on 6/26/17 water was a little rough and fishing was slow but captain Jay still managed to put us on a few nice fish and that was the 2nd time going out on the Runway and looking forward to more fishing with Captain Jay. Thanks Jay and crew you guys are great
Looking to charter a boat for an awesome fishing trip in Hatteras? Contact the team at Teach’s Lair… we love Capt. Jim with Marlin Mania as our first choice, but all of the charters are excellent. You can get a group of six together or ask if a charter needs a fill for o e or two. You’ll also find the best fishing tackle, t-shirts, gear, and a wine center upstairs! The staff is really professional, helpful and the well informed.
I've been going on charters for over 20 years through Teach's Lair Marina. Highly recommend Doug Martin with Hallelujah Charters. Fish cleaners do an excellent job and are happy to chat about how to prepare your catch!
Went fishing on Rabid Tuna with Captain Tim and first mate Jake. Highly recommend these guys. They worked their butt off to make sure we had every opportunity to catch fish. Ended up with plenty of fish and several varieties also.
Great shop and Marina. They have alot of whats needs and what looks good. Quality inventory, and a super helpful staff. I look forward to having my boat in the water this week.

This is our go to place for our fishing gear and any local knowledge! The guys are great to talk to, and the guys out processing the fish are just as amazing!! Definitely stop n see them all!!

This is more a review on the marlin mania then it is for the marina but the marina was nice had a store which sells fishing gear food and souvenirs. They also have a place where you can get your fish cut and ready to eat. As for the marlin mania we had a great time on the boat and would definitely recommend this boat to anybody looking to catch some fish. The captain and the first mate were great they worked really hard to find the fish and did everything they could to get the fish on your pole. Overall had a great experience and really enjoyed fishing with these guys.
Took the Harpers Folly out. What a blast. Great Captain. Great boat. Comfortable and lots of fish. I was tired for sure, lol.
