Beautiful building. My latte should have been hotter. I prefer a paper cup over Styrofoam. It looks like they had a good selection of whole bean coffee and handmade sodas.
Went here for a quick lunch, and seen that the owner was the only person working, doing everything by himself, witch I respect seems like a hard working man and the food was amazing.
Best local coffee house to go to.
I will forever choose State Grounds over Starbucks or biggbys any day.

A very nice, quiet (except for the creaky old floorboards) coffee shop in a classic building with a charming variety of seats. Good coffee, and I had an absolutely incredible Reuben sandwich (nice and crispy, one of the best I've ever had)

The Jefferson panini for lunch is a must! It is always spot on and a quick bite. Scott could use some chips or something to pair with lunch, but overall, really darn good sandwich! Coffee and hand-crafted soda here is goof too!
This was a really fun little local coffee shop here in Hastings, MI. We went in around 11 on Saturday morning and we were the only ones there. Service was great, the location was fantastic, but the selection was a bit lacking. The Jasmine tea was very good though.

Best coffee around and worth the trip. I have never gotten bad coffe or baked goods here. My kids love going in the summer for icecream and I am a fan of the holiday flavors. Better then any chain you will ever come across.
Stopped here on the way to my nursing clinical and was highly satisfied!

Great coffee, there is always a nice selection. They sell coffee beans, both whole and ground, as well as the cups of coffee or latte. Great staff, great food and good coffee. We like to slip away to this little gem every time we camp at Yankee Springs campground. The coffee is good, kids love the ice cream and the food is really excellent. The Kingsbury panini is especially delicious.
Scott & his family, & staff are bar none in service offerings. Local or not this is perfect perch to grab ur coffee & tea & brunch needs. Excellent pit stop during local events as they cater to community support!! Love state grounds!!
I love State grounds. Great atmosphere good place for meetings or just hanging out. Strong Wi-Fi connection and excellent customer service. For a personalized Hometown coffee experience I would definitely recommend.
