Speedy Cafe

Zero stars. Just terrible, I stopped for gas while driving by then as I walked in I seen a sign ".99 cents any size fountain drink" thought well hey I'm thirsty. When I got inside I seen a warmer with burgers, wraps, mini pizzas, ect. Sign clearly states 2 for $5 mix and match. I grab a pizza which was clearly not part of the deal it was priced on the box and two of the wrap things. Get to the register kid rings me up.. 13 something he says. I go to grab my money and think wait.. 2 for $5, $1 pop, and a $3.50 mini pizza. With tax this should be like $10. He mumbles something I couldn't understand then goes and asks the other kid working, comes back to say no they have to be the same thing. I explain to him if that's the case why does the warmer CLEARLY say mix and match 2 for 5 in multiple spots? No explanation, I tell him forget it i don't want them. I wasnt going to spend almost $9 on two already questionable items from a gas station that i may take one bite of and throw away because it's gross. Then he says.. 5.60 or whatever at this point i was already pulling out a $5 bill out of my wallet (3.50 pizza, .99 cent drink) I look at the monitor and the fountain drink was rang up at 1.89 I point to the sign on the door that says "any size fountain drink .99 cents. Well you got a "whatever" (again couldn't hear past the mumbles). Was about to tell him to shove both up his .... but decided different and just paid. I'll take my business elsewhere.

I stop at Speedway several times a week for my second cup of coffee & their coffee bar was spectacular!! Linda worked hard to keep it clean & a variety of excellent coffees hot & fresh! Other Speedways had switched to machines that make single cups of coffee & the taste was horrific compared to theirs! Imagine how disappointed I was when I walked in there yesterday & I saw those coffee machines! Being a true supporter of my Hartland Speedway I got a cup of my favorite 100% Columbian blend! I made it exactly as I had hundreds of times before & it was HORRIBLE!! Their coffee was better than Starbucks, Biggby, Dunkin’ Donuts, etc. & more affordable for a better cup of coffee! Now unfortunately it is terrible & I will only stop at Hartland’s Speedway for a coffee as a last resort!! Really Bummed!!!!
