Indian cuisine is my favorite, but I have to say this is the WORST Indian cuisine I've ever had. The tikki masala had a soooo much oil on top of it it was horrible. Who made this!?? The tandoori chicken tasted old,
Do not go here!

We enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. Wonderful food, great service and food preparation time was good. They kept checking on us to make sure we were okay and if we needed anything. Everyone I went with enjoyed their order, which rarely happens. My very picky eleven year old rated her food a 9/10.

Amazing food! Excellent service! We come here every opportunity we get to visit Harrisburg.

Went on a Saturday at 12:45ish. The "service" was pitiful, I only saw one gentleman, and we waited for everything, to be seated, a good 8 min before we even saw a human(but it was empty aside from 2 other diners)slow on drinks, slow to take the order, food was probably 50 min. I ordered butter chicken and kebabs for an appetizer, and both were AMAZING! Leftovers were great too! They are extremely understaffed. I think the guy who was there last Saturday, was alone. No other explanation of why we waited so long to be seated, yet the restaurant was empty, he was clearly cooking, seating, waiting, etc.

I will always remember this restaurant as the FIRST Indian restaurant that I have ever eaten at. It was a magnificent buffet where I had an explosion of flavor in every bite. Ive had many different Indian restaurants since my wife first introduced me to the wonderful cuisine, and to this day, we still think the best Indian restaurant is Passage to Indian.

We had a terrific experience at Passage to India. Highly recommended if you want an authentic taste of India! When you order tandoor items (as the tandoor scallops pictured), they let you know ahead of time that they are slow cooked and take longer than other menu items - a courtesy we appreciated. The wait staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. We only wish we lived closer to visit more often!

I ordered 10 people the food for my kid’s birthday party as it’s our favorite cuisine. The food was very delicious especially the Paneer Tikka Masala and Gobi Manchurian was super tasty. Guests liked the food very much. The quality was so good that the guests even packed the leftovers. I service was also awesome. Thanks for making the day special🙏🏻

Since they changed owners this place has gone downhill. The food is not good quality being undercooked. I made an order from their website that said it would be ready in 15 minutes. Arriving at the restaurant it was closed even though their hours said it should be open. When I found someone they said it wasn’t their fault and blamed the site they use to take online orders. When I showed them the website address with my receipt they finally gave me cash. Do not eat here.

It was lovely. Beautifully decorated and food was great. I was challenged as to what to order as I do not like hot and spicy and am allergic to eggplant. I asked the waiter to advise me on a sea food dish and although I do not remember the name of the dish, it was a coconut shrimp dish, served with rice and an amazing sauce. It was an excellent choice for me. I left feeling completely satisfied with food, staff and ambience. Highly recommend!

An old favorite of mine since I was a baby. I've always loved their food especially the lunch buffet but personally thinks it could have a bit more spice. Also thank you for having vegan options! But please add more vegan options to your menu. The demand for vegan food is increasing so I guarantee you more vegan option will be appreciated and eaten.

I love this place. I get something different every time and have never been disappointed. Last time I was there I got the Passage Biryani and highly recommend it. I also recommend a walk along the river just behind the restaurant!

The first Indian food restaurant in this area! Great buffet for lunch, fresh cooked. Comfortable and in a scenic place along the river. Everyone I recommend loved the food. I ate at Indian places in Pittsburgh in college in the 70s so I can say PTI done it right.

Amazing food, people and atmosphere! I've never been to a buffet where I cleaned my plate after each visit.

My first Indian food experience was here about 15 years ago and it is still my favorite place. When I worked in the city I used to hit the lunch buffet at least once a week.

We have loved this place for over 25 years! Recently celebrated a couple birthdays there and they could not have been any nicer!! The place is so beautifully decorated, the fantastic aroma as soon as you walk in, the delicious taste in every bite and the "Spice Boys" sang Happy Birthday!!!!
We have never had a bad experience there and cannot wait to go back again!

I don't know what's better – the amazing people or the fantastic food - but it's definitely one of the best restaurants in the area. Great vegetarian selections

Just celebrated my son’s 2nd birthday at his favorite restaurant! He was treated like a little prince (like always) and probably ate his body weight in buffet food.

I had eaten Indian food in Portland, OR a few years ago, several times and found I just wasn't a fan. Recently, my husband wanted to try it so we went. We have gone three times since and every time had been wonderful! My favorite was a server-recommended appetizer of Patra. Last time we went, I knew I would be too full to order Patra, so I got it to go. It was just as fabulous re-heated! :-)

such great food and stellar service. Highly recommend!

If you like Indian food, you will love Passage to India. The mulligatawny soup, samosas, and all the dishes on the menu are delicious, and it is not all spicy.
Maurice Crane
Best food anywhere!!!! I've been going to Passage for nearly 20 years and am never disappointed. If you're just passing through Harrisburg, make sure you make time for Passage to India!
Ken Miller
If I could rate them a 7....one of my favorite restaurants anywhere....

I found out about this place because of Live. Work. Play., and I'm SO GLAD. What turned into my first time about a month and a half ago (AMAZING), has turned into an almost weekly event. Best Indian food in town, super cool atmosphere and A+ service. Love everything about it!!!

Maybe I’m an “Indian cuisine” snob , but we went here on a whim to celebrate a special occasion - and we both had the same experience: 1. We planned to splurge on wine and spirits, well: the waiter said: “sorry our liquor license expired 2 mos ago.” He said: “didn’t they tell you on phone when you made reservation??” No! Nor was it on their online wine menu which i was browsing before we left.
2. We waited an HOUR for our food; i believe the appetizer was out in :50. ((Is this normal wait time??))
3. The biryani rice was very VERY greasy; not good. 4. Apparently they insert a gratuity on your bill, is thissss normal?? We were only a small family (of 4). Hopefully our experience was an anomaly, perhaps they were understaffed. It just wasn’t the ‘celebration dinner’ we were hoping for. They def don’t stack up against our “usual” Indian go-to restaurants...

Just a wonderful dining experience all around and the staff are superb!

The food is amazing, the service is very good. However, it's a little pricey. Expect to pay $40 to $50 for dinner for two.

Let me first begin by applauding the effort taken to make this beautiful ambience, choosing a location next to a river and a pool, Big open windows, outstanding art work, staging, well dressed waiters and good team spirit. Excellent service, best in class of any Indian restaurant I have been in 3 major cities - Lancaster, Harrisburg and York. We recently decided to be a vegetarian and I was happy and content with the tasty vegetarian options. They made sure to entertain our 2 year old son while I and my wife enjoyed the food. That was impressive. Thank you!
