We stopped here for supper. The staff were charming and helpful. The food was delicious, plenty of veg and not overcooked! Would definitely come again

What a great find! Booked in this area whilst working away, the price was very fair and it was safe to say we were not disappointed. Very relaxed, modern, stylish and just all round spot on. The rooms were very cosy and comfortable, along with breakfast being stunning. When I return to this area I'll be sure to try book here. Great work!

We dropped by for a bite to eat and found the lite bites menu. What a triumph! My wife had the chicken Goujons with a side of chips and I had the burger, initially I had ordered the pork tenderloin burger but they were out. However The Classic Burger, replacement was sensational and skin on fries too. But then so was the service from the moment we walked in, the lady that severed us was lovely and was the gentleman that brought the food. Throughly recommend this JD Young, we think we’ve found our new favourite place!!

We dine here regularly on Sundays for their roast dinner option, it truly is amazing, absolutely love the food and the decor is one of the nicest most tastfuly done around, great hotel.

We didn't stay at the hotel, as we were just having food as we live locally. Lovely setting, service was very good, waiting staff very friendly and attentive. Promp service, food lovely and hot, great value. Empty plates all round!! Desserts just as good. Great presentation. Served by Rach.

A top location to visit, the rooms are fabulous the restaurant is second to non and not too pricey, the staff are out of this world - special mention to Julie, Jo and Fleur ! Who always make my stay at JD Youngs so special !

Once again, a superb meal from JD's. I've been here quite a few times now and have never been disappointed. Staff were on top form with their excellent service. If you're looking for somewhere to eat, give them a try

The restaurant is perfect for any special occasion/celebration meal (if it wasn’t so pricey we would go more often).
The food was delicious and well presented, the staff were friendly and efficient and the decor/ambiance was excellent.
A really enjoyable place to have your evening (if you go into it expecting high prices).
We’ll definitely be back.

The food was good, a little pricey but worth it. We both had a Sunday roast, and it was really good, but we missed out on green vegetables. This was on the menu as an additional extra, but reluctant to splash out on something that really we consider to be part of a roast dinner.
Maybe the price could be dropped to £15 to then allow people to spend the additional £3.50 to get greens added, otherwise it just works out a bit too expensive when you add on drinks and pudding.
We would return, probably on special occasions.
The place itself is really nice. Surrounds a nice vibe, quirky decor, and calming ambience.
Far too warm in there though, turn the heating down, was glad to get out in the cold for some fresh air.
