Country Style Donuts

Very clean place inside. Super friendly staff and professional bakers are making the donuts from scratch (behind glass) right up front! They have an enormous variety of raised, cake and filled donuts plus muffins, brownies and premium ice creams! They also make specialty donuts that are huge; apple fritters and cinnamon rolls! I went late Saturday afternoon and they still had all my favorites available! All the donuts were delicious. Raised were light and fluffy, cream and custard were generously filled. My custard donut felt heavy due to a greath helping of filling! Cake donuts are spot on too. A nice moist denseness that they should have. Glaze on all donuts was light, non-gritty and not overdone. These donuts were not at all greasy. This is our new go to donut place! Fairly priced. They have a drive thru if you want a quick stop. They deliver their goodies to over 30+ gas stations too! Something for everyone at this shoppe!

Today, I went for donuts with my sons and since my last experience with Country Style Donuts was excellent, we decided to give it another try. Although they have a large inventory, i wouldn't say that they have a great deal of variety as most of their donuts are traditional type. During both of my visits, I found staff members preparing boxes in the dining room area, which tells me that they are preparing for some large influx of customers. Now, the most important area of the business they have it down to perfection. The quality, freshness, and flavor of their products are second to none. My favorite are the vanilla creams. They are a pleasurable explosion of sugar in your mouth. My kids love the long johns, the raspberry filled, and the jelly donuts. Unless I'm willing to go as far as Woodfield Mall to visit Stan Donugs, Country Style Donuts is my new place to go.
