Great place! We went right when they had opened at 7am and were surprised to not see very many other people come. The waitress was very nice and we got our food in a timely manner. Also, the prices were very reasonable!

Thank you for naming your restaurant, so we could visit and have memorable lunch time. Your mahi-mahi and kalua pork takos are the best! Coffee is fresh and we had a relaxed time there. Also the mango tree is Wow! Many Mahalos from our ohana!

Came in late (3AM to us Floridians anyway), right before closing, starving and exhausted. Ordered the 3 meat combo. Got destroyed and it was so good we stopped being tired. It's a simple place, local feel. Food is the star here. Had plenty leftover for the next morning, set us up right for the hiking the next day. I can't wait to go back.

First time visiting kauai and coming here with my boyfriends family. The food was delicious and we all got to share a little bit of everything. It's a good family place to come eat and I can see why by the taste of the food. I highly recommend their Adobo fried rice.

This older building hidden off the main road isn't much to look at, but the service and food from inside is completely different. We were quickly greeted by the staff and seated immediately. Our waitress was very friendly, and seemed to treat everyone like ohana. I had the kalua hash, and it was amazing. All of the food was authentic Hawaiian. It seemed that we luckily fell into the amazing local gem, and it was very well worth it.

Great example of local Hawaiian food. Hearty, plentiful, and served with care. Don't expect fancy linens or the attitude that often comes with them. Expect to be well satisfied and smiling when you leave. Looking forward to returning ASAP.

Deffinantly Island vibes, Slow paced total relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed breakfast here. The women do their thing and get everyone taken care of. Food was really good and portions were also good. Off the beaten path but worth looking for.

We live on the east side and this was the first time we ate here. Can't wait to go back. The grinds we had was really good. The breading on the chicken cutlet is one of the best I ever had.

Came at 10am on Sunday. It was very busy, there was a note up that they were short staffed and asked folks to be patient. Even with only two servers we got seated within minutes, orders taken quickly, drinks came fast! The food did take some time to come, prob about 25 mins later, which was no problem at all. The food came out perfect! Hot & correct. We had the french toast, bacon, mushroom, spinach omelette with cheese & fried rice, and the Polihale (fried rice & two eggs). Nice screened in seating area in Hanapēpē. Mostly local crowd. Kind & efficient servers. Will stop in next time! Mahalo 💕

Service was great. Very attentive and friendly. The food was ok, a good amount of food for the price. I was disappointed by the steamed veggies... I'm pretty sure they came from the frozen section in Costco, we have them all the time at home. That made me question how fresh everything else was. It was good, regardless. The bathrooms were filthy so again, made me question the condition of the kitchen. I wanted to love this place, it's clearly a local spot and the people who work there were really nice. I just don't know about the food quality.

Best pancakes ever I have no idea how they get them so fluffy. The spam and eggs were perfect as well. We got there right at open because we are early risers/jet lag and it was well worth it. Place was clean and staff were very attentive!

Wonderful experience at this family owned and operated restaurant! The food was authentic and delicious, and although the power went out in the middle of our visit, the ladies continued cooking on gas grills with headlamps to make sure customers were served. The only thing I will caution is the wait time- due to the popularity of the restaurant plus a small kitchen and small staff, expect to be at the restaurant for an hour or so. But it's worth it!

As local as you can get. Lovely staff, great energy. Boyfriend had the won ton mein and a side of fries, I had the kalua hash. Everything was sooo goooood. Just like auntie makes it (or unko haha). Definitely go, even if it's out of the way. But it's right off the main highway, so it's easy to find. And REALLY good prices. $26 for the both us and we left STUFFED.

Great food, very welcoming service. The new owners were there and told us all about the history of the building and the business. Delicious local coffee and amazing fried rice. Only open Sat Sun mornings and Friday night.

Awesome place! Owned by a family! All the people work full-time jobs during the week and they’re only open on the weekend. Huge portions. I got the Kahlúa Moco and it was enormous. The 100% Kaua’i grass fed beef burger and fries were really good too. Support a local business and come here. You won’t be disappointed.

Not that excited about the food on Kauai, until.... Unkos Kitchen that is! Friday night is a different menu than the rest of the week. Mostly due to the place not being open most nights. If you can, go! Got the pork cutlet and the bento box. Large portion and low price. Very good. Not diet friendly. I have eaten white rice my whole life. This was the best white rice I have ever had. Just the rice was that good! It's a side! Staff was really nice too.
