Loved it! $18 for a chicken plate that (chicken, rice and 2 salads) fed 2 of us comfortably for lunch. Salads were very tasty, and chicken was fantastic! Lots of parking, and beautiful spot at the red sand beach with a gorgeous view. Would definitely stop here again. Has several picnic tables to sit and eat, or can take to go. Recommend sitting and enjoying the view!
I wouldn't say this is the best Huli Huli chicken on island but they are pretty good. Chicken was lightly smoked & very tender. Wish there was a bit more flavored. It is located on the Red Sand beach called Koki beach which made the atmosphere excellent! Glad we got there around 3 pm b/c they sold out of chicken soon after that & only had ribs left. Cash only.
Owners were so nice and wonderful to us, definitely spreading the Aloha. We got the huli huli chicken combo, and the serving was generous. It was enough to feed two people and still have some left over. It was a very enjoyable meal (ribs, chicken and salad were good), with the red beach and waves in the background. I'm glad I stopped here on the road to hana. Definitely one to remember.
Alright- full disclosure. I was expecting phenomenal food, after hearing Gordon Ramsey rave about it. Don't get me wrong, it's good, but I can't give it 5 stars. The pork dish also, is 4 stars rather than 5 stars. Still a great place to stop and eat lunch during the Road to Hana adventure. The beach at this spot has beautiful red sand, and a beach-comber vibe. It's worth the stop, and a good meal - even at $20. But it won't be winning any chicken Master Chef awards.
Loved the place. Food was great. Only downfall is the wet, muddy, dirty parking area. We ate our food, sitting on a tree out by the water.
Got the huli huli chicken plate and it was delicious! Great atmosphere - they have lots of tables so you can enjoy your food right in front of Koki Beach. Highly recommend this lunch stop if you’re doing a tour of Hana.
Oh. my. god. this place is AMAZING!!!!! Got the combo plate with chicken and ribs for $25, was a great amount for two!!!!! And DELICIOUS!!!! Seriously some of the best chicken and pork ribs I’ve ever had. We happened to be there right at opening so there was no line. Can’t recommend this place enough!!!!
Like awesome food with a great view? Then definitely check this place out. This cash-only place serves great food (had the Hulu chicken bowl ~ $18) that is well worth the drive. They have ample seating by the seaside. The portion size was huge. So we had to spend an entire hour at the adjacent beach watching waves while fighting the food coma.
Totally worth stopping by while in Hana. Highly recommend.
When you drive past this place, you see the chicken being roasted and all the fumes. We stopped by for lunch and ordered chicken, fish and shrimp dishes. The best was the chicken with the special huli sauce!
Absolutely delicious chicken! You can't beat the views eating under the shade as well looking out at the ocean. Great stop on road to Hana
