So glad we found this restaurant. My husband and I wanted Peeking Duck so I searched online for local restaurants that serve it. Matsulin came up in my search. I called to make sure they do serve it and also to see if we needed to reserve a Duck. 🦆 we did reserve a Duck. We arrived a little early and were seated right away. We had a shrimp roll and seaweed salad for appetizers. Both were delicious. We had the Peeking Duck for our main course. After we had the peeking duck Vivian, one of the owners came to the table and asked if we were ready for our 3rd course. We were a bit confused and very full. They take the duck that they do not use for the peeking duck rolls and combine it with sautéed vegetables and serve it with rice. All of the food was 5 stars. It’s not only about the food for us when we go out. It’s about service, atmosphere etc. Nicole one of the servers, she spend a good amount of time with us at our table talking about the food and making conversation to actually get to know us. Made us feel welcomed. Vivian one of the owners was so friendly also. Restaurant is nicely decorated and very clean. They also have a Sushi bar which you can sit and eat dinner there as well.
Overall great experience. We are already planning on taking our neighbors next time we go.

We had dinner here last night for the first time. We were greeted so warmly when we arrived and seated right away. The staff is so attentive and friendly. We ordered drinks and appetizers first. Had the roti cani and edamame. The roti was so delicious and well seasoned. The edamame was also good. It didn't have seasoning on it, but still yum. Our sake came out and they were super about pouring it for us. We had for dinner the chicken pad thai, takka don and shiraka roll to share. The oad thai was well seasoned and the portion was generous. The noodles were a little over cooked, but again yum. The takka don was a good portion, but the rice a bit overcooked as well. But, well seasoned. I'm not sure what roll we received but it was delicious and close to the one ordered. We loved our experience. The restaurant is so nice inside and the service was amazing. We will definitely be back.

Another delicious meal. Had an early dinner. Everyone was lovely. We had the same sake, however this time it wasn't cold to begin with. Oh well. It was by the time we finished dinner. I still this the sushi rice is a bit overcooked. But, they do a great job.
One of my favorite places in the Hamptons for fresh, delicious Asian food. Great variety, generous portions, and reasonable prices make this place a must visit destination!
Great place. Friendly, spacious, clean and great food. The fried calamari might be the best I've had... Well seasoned and served over a finely diced onion hot pepper pickled combo that is indescribably delish. The sushi was great and the speciality rolls are fabulous. Well worth the drive
Matsulin is an awesome Asian-fusion style restaurant, offering excellent options for sushi, as well as Chinese & Thai-style dishes. A lot of Pan-Asian restaurants tend to fall short on one of their options (in my opinion) but not Matsulin. ALL of their dishes are authentic and each one is tastier than the next. Fresh sushi, awesome noodle dishes, and accommodating for gluten-allergies! The owners and staff are so friendly too. Highly recommend!
Matsulin has the best Asian food out East on Long Island. The dishes are incredible and the restaurant gives you options on how the dish is prepared depending on “region”. For example, choice of Vietnamese, Japanese, or Chinese Fried rice. The soups are the best comfort. Highly recommend!

Excellent food- the restaurant was quite empty all but 3-4 tables. But still the food took time to arrive- almost always a good sign- and so it was in this case. Full of flavours.
I had an extreme foodgasm! The food is great here and the atmosphere is very homely. Staff is friendly. I keep asking my friend when we'll go here again. I recommend this place if you happen to visit Hampton Bays in Long Island.
Best Pad Thai I have ever had. I would recommend it.
