I am not from the area and gave this place a try because of other Google reviews. I really liked it. It's a small, friendly restaurant that gives you good food for a good price. We really liked the service and how clean the place was. The food came quickly. And was just a good down to earth breakfast without gimmicks. I wish places like this were easier to find.

My buddy and I went for breakfast and we're lucky enough to have the great service professional ms. Kelly be our guide.
He got a fish sandwich the size of a football and I had the egg pancake special.
We both are like we hadn't eaten in a week and our total bill- with coffee also was like $22.
Acropolis or any of the other Hamden new haven diners would have charges $10-15 more.

Decent greasy spoon or style breakfast joint. Nice place, nice people, mediocre food but what do you expect? It's good, try it.

The service was good. However, as I am used to using real butter, I was disappointed when the server told me that they only use margarine and that there was no real butter on the premises for me to put in my grits. While the eggs, grits, toast and coffee were fine, the turkey sausage tasted awful.
I will not be returning.

The old owner at the restaurant is the most disrespectful owner I ever ran into and there food isn't even that good I will never visit this place again
