Ashley's Ice Cream has quickly become one of my favorite ice cream places in CT. The black raspberry flavor is hands down one of the best, and paired with another chocolate flavor it makes a great combo. I wish the flavors were regularly updated on the website since they tend to be different than what is available in-store. Also would love to see more tart or experimental flavors. But for the price its a nice place to pick up a quick sweet craving!

I come here at least 3-4 times a month with my boyfriend since it’s so close to us.
I loooove the coffee Oreo, lemon graham (vegan seasonal flavor), and honey comb (seasonal). My boyfriend’s favorites are black raspberry and cookie dough.

I tried Ice cream of york branch and it was amazing.
This time I tried dixwell branch and I am satisfied with it. I think in york, they calculate it by weight but here it has a certain price.

Good ice cream but they dont update their hours so you have no idea when theyre open. Last 2 times i went when it said online that theyre open and they were closed.

I've had a lot of ice cream in my day so when I was in my girlfriend's hometown, she took me to her favorite neighborhood spot and it did not disappoint. Creamy, rich, and delicious. The place is covered in drawings made by customers about Ashley's (and apparently it takes a while for your drawing to get up there) which gives it a community feel.
Coming from Boston, I was pleasantly surprised by the portions this place gives when they say "two scoops"...it's a hefty portion. Two was enough!

The ice cream was very good. The staff could be a bit more engaging and cheerful. The lack of enthusiasm puts my next visit as a "maybe". What's the point in returning if you don't feel you'll have a pleasant experience?

I'm so happy to see Ashley's is still hanging in there in the plaza. So many other stores are leaving closing down being bought out main replace but Ashley's ice cream is still here. I enjoy the different flavors that Ashley still offers and the quality of ice cream they have. Don't change and you be here forever!
