Bluebonnet Cafe

I try to avoid chain breakfast places whenever I can. Found this place on the way to DFW, looked for a good mom and pop diner with good reviews. The Bluebonnet had 4.6 with over a thousand reviews....had to give it a shot. Wasn't disappointed!! The very first thing that hits you is the incredible amount of decor and memorabilia on the walls. It's like a Cracker Barrel actually did crack. It's overwhelming, but I couldn't stop walking around to look at everything. Second thing was the service. Holy moly....ON POINT. From start to finish, incredibly attentive and sweet. Frequent stops by the table, great conversation. Felt right at home. Third was the food. Just like mom makes it....down to earth cooking. Had the Spanish omelette and biscuit/gravy. Everything was simple, no frills, and TASTY. So good. 27 years in business, can see why! Give them a try!

A friend recently took me to Bluebonnet, I did know know it existed before then. This is my new go to favorite place to eat. I haven't had anything other than breakfast yet but I will eventually. The atmosphere is perfect, friendly, warm and inviting, and I love all the memorabilia. Love love love this place!

Food was great and a great value. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Location has a unique style and is warm and welcoming. We found this after visiting the Airstream dealer and seeing them all noshing down on the food. Asked them where it came from and through their glazed eyes they pointed us to the Blue Bonnet Cafe. Food is simple, but with quality ingredients. Great spot for a quality mean and they are now open on Sundays.
