Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant

Hong Kong has been my favorite Chinese food restaurant for 20 years. I measure all other Chinese food restaurants against this restaurant. I have many favorites, such as egg rolls, wonton soup, chicken noodle soup, Singapore House Rice noodles, delicious curry, and the best Szechuan! My kids love the orange chicken and lo mein noodles. The service is always fast, the food is always excellent, and the staff is always friendly!

When I moved to Hagerstown, I was told repeatedly in no uncertain terms should I expect to find decent Chinese food in this town. Thankfully I didn’t listen and found Hong Kong. While they may not be the cheapest Chinese food in the area, it’s worth it for the generous portions and consistency of their food. The food is always hot, fresh and delicious. My favorites, the shrimp fried rice is loaded with shrimp and the sesame chicken is always perfectly prepared. Hong Kong has become our family go-to restaurant for Chinese food and has not disappointed.

My boyfriend and I ordered here last week and OH. MY. GOODNESS. I'm never ordering from anywhere else ever again. All of our food was ready quickly, clearly fresh. Egg rolls were out of this world. Beef and broccoli 😙 We tried green onion pancakes for the first time and the sauce with those was delicious. My bf said his chicken was a little overcooked but he didn't even care as the rest of the meal was absolutely incredible. All this time I was ordering from No 1 Chinese and sleeping on this place.

I ordered sweet and sour shrimp delivered, unfortunately they forgot the sweet and sour sauce. They wanted to bring me the sauce, 30 minutes after I received the shrimp so I would have cold shrimp ( fried ) . The manager said they would be happy to refund my card 2 dollars, the price of the sauce…. needless to say my family won’t be ordering from this restaurant again.

STAY AWAY This is the worst Chinese food I ever ate. Ordered Wonton soup, which tasted like water and soy sauce. Fried chicken wings with absolutely no flavor at all. House special Lo Mein (not special at all). Again very little flavor and tiny shrimp. Shrimp egg roll had one shrimp the size of my finger nail that tastes like nothing. The only high point was the driver that delivered.

This restaurant was SOOOO incredibly wonderful! My family took me there for my birthday and, i searched for chinese buffets and, i got this info back (NOT A BUFFET!), thank God! Its been SO unbelievably AMAZING! Its hard to put into words! The service was SOO beyond expectations and, superb!! I cannot even begin to tell you. Now, it was empty when i got there but, it was just shy of 11am when they opened on a Sat. However, the waitress is absolutely freakin AMAZING, thats no joke. She'll try her best to swindle you, or add food onto your order! Lol. (Should have been a car sales-woman). But, none the less fantastic! The hot green tea is exquisite. She made my experience just amazing. She even took our price down for the food. So, ultimately, atmosphere- wonderful, hostess/waitress attitude- fantastic/very honest/outgoing and food- absolutely perfectly made/cooked to perfection, the quickest served, etc. Took my son here as well and, it's def kid friendly. Great portions for everyone! The whole experience was more then i could have asked for. *i know, i say it quite a lot but, i wouldn't if the place wasn't great! Believe me!* I'm now going to be a regular for sure. I couldn't be happier to have been miss lead by Google!
