Great customer service, fresh and delicious food of course! Very affordable food and top notch around the area of Hackensack for a fast serving restaurant. I would recommend this place 10/10!! Will always come back to the great food and great service. The environment is nice and quiet, not too loud which makes it a nice setting to eat. Thank you for the delicious food!

The food is good but they are just trying to get money now. They only serve large sizes (which is not fair for 1-2 people). I really used to like this place. I now have to find another spot.
Thank you for your response. Maybe you can consider breakfast. Only offering large Mangu is tremendous for one person. Variety is more accommodating and not everyone eats large for breakfast and lunch. (I have been going here for years now and am constantly trying to adjust to new pricing/sizes but somethings are just not right).

I went there recently with my cousin. Didn't expect much as it always looks empty. But boy was I wrong. The food was so good.

Friendly staff, but unable to converse in English with non-Spanish speaking customers. That can be frustrating in a job where diverse customer interaction is constant and imperative. Food was okay. Considering the location on Main Street near the Superior Courts of Bergen County the management needs to hire bilingual staff and increase the freshness and quality of the food.

I've eaten there before so I went on sat 21st 4:00 pm and the food was dried old looking!.The rice was old , empty to the bottom of the pan! The stew beef was dry & old looking & only 2 pieces of chicken! I should had called the health dept it look so bad! The customers before me complained about t h e food & walked out! The 3 females & the female cook laughed like it was funny! Never will I go back there& will tell my family freinds to stay away

I am full on Dominican and I know Dominican/Latino food(s).
La Reina del Sabor is one of the most flavorful and friendliest Latino Restaurants around. If you want tasty, rich and superb home cooked Dominican & Latino food this is the place to visit. Reina's cooking reminds me of my mom's home cooked meals.
The owner & chef Reina does amazing dishes with mouth-watering flavors. The goat, oxtail, pernil, etc are so juicy and tender. Their variety of daily soups are hearty and tasty. I've been coming here for months and so far La Reina's cooking has been phenomenally tasty.
The rest of staff here are incredibly outgoing and amiable.
Yurdan the son, he's always receiving customers with a smile. Yurdaly the daughter, she's very attentive with all customers. Euclides the father, he does the deliveries right on time. Lissa is cordial. Emeli is always polite. Grandpa Nicolas always has a warm greeting for everyone.
Instead of going to the Heights in NYC to get authentic Dominican fare, come over to La Reina del Sabor (translated to "The Queen of Flavor") in Hackensack. The food tates way better and it's much closer than NYC.
This place treats you like family because it is a family affair.
