Do yourself a favor. When you’re driving up the Mississippi, stop here and grab yourself an award winning slice of berry pie, get it to go and go sit a bench facing the river. You won’t regret it.

Service was EXTREMELY SLOW! Don’t go on a Saturday! I heard a microwave run a lot. I’m not sure if they were short staffed that day, but the owner was apologetic about the long wait and thanked us for being there and being patient. From the time we went in to leaving we were there for 2 hours. I wasn’t impressed by the food. There seemed to be a lack of communication of who was seating us and serving tables. They were working their tails off though to serve everyone. They only have 6 tables and a cute little boutique with some cute things. Our waitress was friendly and they made sure our drinks were filled .

Delightful stop for lunch. Pie was a plus. Table service or to go from an old style service counter. Good selection of local, German variation s on traditional sandwiches. Pie sells out, so order early! No outdoor seating. Includes shop with local foods and wine. We got some Iowa maple syrup. Open til 4, but food service stops at 2:30 on Saturday.

My favorite place to come for lunch when I visit my parents. Jane makes a beautiful salad (upon request) and her peach pie is amazing!!! So worth every calorie.

I stopped in here while in town for a work trip based on the great reviews. I understand why! I had some delicious mushroom soup, corned beef sandwich, and amazing triple berry pie. Highly recommended!
