While visiting the Mystic area, our goal has been to eat at local food establishments. While checking reviews for places on Yelp, we found Puffins. All I can say is wow! The food was fresh and plentiful, the service was attentive, and the view of the river is wonderful! Definitely recommend this place for breakfast.
A Sweet place my husband and I found on the Thames River. We stopped for a late breakfast. The food we had (and the pictures on this site) were and look out of this world. Great place, prices and wait staff! Beautiful Views and a Great Find! Hope to go back there for more wonderful food and water views when in the area. Can not say enough good things about this place!

What a gem! We had a delicious lunch here. Everyone who works here was so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it. And the baked goods they sell here are wonderful too.
We found this place off of yelp and we were very impressed! The staff was great and super friendly! They promote special needs in the workforce and I love it! The good came out in a reasonable amount of time and it was all FRESH and hot and delicious!!!

What a wonderful experience! As soon as we walked in the door, we were greeted, and sat immediately. Our waiter, Steven introduced himself, and interacted with my 9 month old daughter as we got our chairs situated. our drink order was taken and brought to us promptly. Our order was taken, and we were asked if we needed anything else. When Steven brought us our food, he again asked if we needed anything, and was right on top of whatever we asked for. We were checked on regularly, and we were even checked on by Stevens mentor. We told him everything was wonderful. I really enjoyed my experience, and will be recommending this place! Thank you so much!
This is a hidden jewel along Thames ST. I love coming here all year long with my family. Great food and a great view. It's nice a nice spot to watch the submarines come in and drink coffee. The workers are always a delight and very attentive!
We stopped in for breakfast while on vacation in the area. The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. Please let Stephen know that Dennis and I were saddened to see the New England Patriots beat our beloved Buffalo Bills in both games this season. There's always next year. We will be back the next time we are in your area.
The coffee is very good and excellent service. This is a must visit if in the area.
Whenever we are up from PA visiting out Son (Submariner in the Navy) and his family, we come to Puffins! Food is fabulous and staff so wonderful. Giving those with special needs a place to work and grow ...if only there were more places like this in the world! We tipped very high as all the money goes to an amazing program supporting these lovely men & women.
My daughter and I love to come here for breakfast. The food is always delicious and we love the staff!
I love going to local restaurants instead of chains. We were not disappointed. We were greeted at door. Stephen our waiter was great. Our breakfast was great and next time we are in Groton we plan to go back.

We don't eat there often BUT when we do, we are never disappointed! The service & the food is OUTSTANDING! TOday we had the fried oyster plate & the fried fish plate - wonderful, as always! Even got to see a submarine come up river!!!Always a treat to see that. Keep up the good work.

This place is amazing! I love the waitstaff, the food and the pies! Glad I had to pick up my pies, it gave me a reason to eat lunch there. I love supporting a great program.

Puffin's is always serving up the best breakfast in town! What's even better than the breakfast is the wonderful and caring staff on site! Stephen, Lonnie, and Sherri in the front are always smiling and ready to take your order while Chantalle, Kelly, Jessica & Heather are Chefin' it up in the back to create plates like this! If your in the Groton area I suggest you stop in!
