Chicken Shack

Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Rude customer service. The place was dirty. Ordered an 8pc wing dinner and a 16pc bucket for a total of $65. Said it would be a 25 minute wait. Asked how much longer it would be and the employee huffed and puffed into the back. Ended up waiting for over an hour with no apologies for our wait. This isn’t broasted chicken. This is fried to where there is no meat left on the bone chicken. Never again.

It's probably been about a decade since I've had a decent meal at chicken shack. I was told my order would be ready in 10-15 minutes and it took almost 40, and there was no one else in there. Over the years we have had numerous meals comped because the food was undercooked and cold. The potatoes used to be the best and now they're drenched in oil like what you put on your popcorn at the movies. Old school quality is gone. Better off getting french fries from McDonald's in all honesty and I don't eat fast food.

The service was great and the place was clean. The food though. Its not what it use to be. The broasted potatoes use to be coated in butter and seasoning. Now its drenched in movie butter oil and no seasoning. The veggies are the same I got a cup of corn swimming in movie butter oil. I wont be back👎🏽👎🏽

Terrible!!!! I was the first customer at 11am, they greet me as if why am I’m here, disturbing them so early. Once I order, I waited 20min. And was served Refried potatoes, they was all dark brown the tender’s I ordered, was warm by the Refried Potatoes. I complain and he suggested it be another 20 min. For fresh chicken tenders, as I waited I ask to purchase a bottle of Bar B Q sauce. He got an attitude, as if I was disturbing his day. I just said man give me a refund and I left. I watch one young worker cut potatoes, with no gloves 🧤 and coughing and he look me dead in eyes, as if opps.

This place has gone down hill big time, they close at 9pm yet won’t take phone orders at 820pm??? And the people that work the phones are so lazy and rude, they act like you interrupted their nap!! I have tried numerous time over the past 2 years to order from here only to be extremely disappointed time after time! The Warren location is a much better location! The GPW location should just close down if they don’t want to come run a decent business, or hire an entire new staff!

I ordered the 9 piece shrimp dinner through door dash, and it was horrible. For $16.49 I at least expected my shrimp to be real shrimp not processed. I am very disappointed I've had shrimp from this location before, and it was real shrimp. I'm very disappointed maybe they need new management. The service here has really gone down

Place is dirty as all hell. Employees are lazy and rude. Would have definitely been better off going to any other location regardless of how far. Grosse Pointe ought to be ashamed that this place exists in their city. OH! Almost forgot, placed order and was told 20 minutes and I get there & had to wait around while they act like I’m such an inconvenience 😁
