Waffle House

If I could I would give this place a - 100 Stars. In my opinion, I felt like the staff were racists. I noticed that I was the only black customer in the restaurant. None of the staff greeted me or offered a menu. Everyone made eye contact with me but still never offered to serve me. So, I politely got up and left, because I do not believe in begging for acceptance. I believe in going somewhere where you're appreciated not tolerated.

Cold toast, and burnt bacon does not help you want to come back. They told me my first waffle was burnt so they were fixing me another one. Well little did I know the second one was burnt crispy on the bottom. Don't know if it was intentionally hidden or not. The third waffle leads me to believe they need new irons. Crunchy on one side and almost uncooked on the other. So,maybe this issue just started? My husband asked for limp bacon and got burnt bacon. Two stars because the staff was very nice, but they just can't cook. Don't know who checks reviews of Waffle Houses but this one near the mall in Greenwood didn't cut it with me.

I came to store 1727 at around 11:30 on April 2nd to place a to go order in which i have been coming there for the last two years because its the closest one one in my area. The girl at the front ( she would not give me her name when i asked her she laughed at me and told me i better get out her face ( which i was no where near her check camera footage. And the guy that was in there name was chase (he gave me his name and said he was the night shift manager) laughed at her comment towards me. But i went in to place a to go order they said they was not taking any to go orders due to being short staffed (there was four workers as always, i stated well i will dine in chase gave me a booth and i told him i would like it in a to go container, he then grabbed the silverware off the table and told me to have a goodnight. Waffle house has always been my go to place after work because nothing is open, but after tonight i will no longer be a loyal customer and i will be contacting my lawyer for the threat and discrimination. I am a paying customer and regardless of what my service should have not been denied. I did not yell curse or disrespectful to any of the employees. There was also numerous of other customers that was denied service tonight im very disappointed!

Today was a good day. The staff was pleasant even though it was clear they were understaffed. I can appreciate someone that's having a stressful day but they don't take it out on others. It's a true challenge for human beings to be able to check their emotions at the door and do what needs to be done. So good job to the staff this morning.
