Bj's Southern Buffet

FRIENDLY STAFF. Buffet had a nice variety of meats and sides. As far as liking the food, WE DIDNT. We've been working in Greenwood for a little over a month and was just tired of the fastfood joints. I had fried chicken, bbq ribs, dressing w/gravy and turnip greens.....the first time. Ribs tasted old and was bland so i didnt finish it. Chicken had a NICE crunch but needed salt. Greens had to come out of a can. Dressing tasted like sweet corn bread. So bc i wasnt full due to not eating what was on my plate, i went back up to the bar. Peach cobbler bread wouldnt come out the pan. So all i had was peaches. The mac and cheese didnt taste like box mac and cheese, just odd. Only ate a bite. NOW WHATS FUNNY IS THEY HAVE A SIGN TELLING YOU TO Help by not wasting food, but its kinda hard not to when the food you want turns out to be bland amd nasty. This is not SOUTHERN COOKING. THIS IS NURSING HOME COOKING

The food was not good at all. The Mac and cheese was hard and looked stale like it had been out all day. Same as the spaghetti and other items I seen going through the buffet. They just barely have any customers in there. I can see why, the cooking was very bad. Hire better cooks you might see better service

We just left with a wonderful experience, our server was exceptional. She was on top of it, meeting our every needs...her name is Kat and I would recommend asking for her. The food was prepared very well, good flavor and hot. Overall, it's a very nice family restaurant with a good variety. Worth the visit.
