Saw an ad and wondered if this was "just another pizza place." The answer is NO! We went after seeing a concert in Greenwood and it was after 9pm when we arrived. Quickly seated, took our drink order, food arrived (huge selection by the way) extremely fast and it was beyond delish. Even placed an order for a pizza to go and it was ready right when we were ready to go. Wait staff was top notch, prices were comparable, place was clean, restrooms were clean, art is a fun plus and they promote other local businesses. We will be back!
Thank you Jockamo's for a great experience. Thirteen of us dined in last night after a youth baseball game. Our waitress and the rest of your staff were great dealing with multiple orders and kids and adults sitting everywhere. The pizza is great, and the friendliness of your staff is top notch! It was getting close to closing time and they had every right to be annoyed by our large group, but they all acted as if they just came on shift. Highly recommend Jockamo's!!!
First time trying their pizza. I like Cajun food so I got the Creole pizza with crawfish.
It had more than enough heat but it was delicious.

Yum!! We ordered 8 different specialty pizzas and they were all delicious! One of the biggest hits was the Pomodoro. We also ordered a party-sized house salad, which was great, and breadsticks, which were just ok (the dipping sauces were great though!). We did have a little hiccup, but it was promptly resolved by the manager on duty (Alex, I believe). When we picked up our order we were accidentally given someone else’s small salad instead of our salad dressing and dipping sauces. Didn’t realize until we got to our destination, but Alex immediately offered to bring the missing items to us and did so quickly!
Service was fantastic. It's amazing to see an entire staff take care of all their customers, not just specific sections. Great breadsticks and the best pizza sauce I've had. Of course, the pizza is awesome, too.

Thank you so much to the Jockamo Greenwood staff for helping make the surprise birthday party for Zach so successful! He was so surprised � The food was amazing and the service was great with such a large party like ours (40 people)!! We will definitely be back to enjoy even more pizza soon.

Eat This Pizza!. I have been here several times in the past couple of years and have always enjoyed it the pizza is terrific and they recently were named the best pizza in Indiana by thrillist.com. The restaurant ambiance is pretty basic but the food and service are great. They serve beer and wine and have a bar area. The lunch special is great, $5 for a big slice of pizza, a salad and a drink. Wow! Tuesday is 1/2 price bottles of wine day. They also have a bunch of different beers. This is our go-to place for pizza.

So many pizza's to choose from. I had never been to Jockamo's or heard of one before. But upon looking at their website, I was very excited to see the almost endless amounts of specialty pizza's they offered; my wife was too. So we ordered up our odd pizzas, namely a Thai Chicken Pizza (think peanut butter sauce) and a pizza with Etoufe as a sauce, and got them in 12" sizes.
As I went to pick them up (on a Thursday night), I was getting pretty upset at the amount of traffic to get to this place. Then it became apparent what happens every (I think) Thursday night across the road, a classic car show. And a pretty big one at that. Judging by the cars I saw, I could tell each owner there had very tight fitting pants if you know what I mean.
Anyway, the place was packed to the gills with people. For a restaurant that is housed in the bottom part of a building complex inhabited by at least 4 other businesses, I was surprised to find that maximum occupancy was listed at 299 people. That's huge!
So I paid for my pizza's and took them home where my wife quickly ruled this place as "just like a California Pizza Kitchen." I thought about it and she was absolutely right. The pizza tasted a little too refined, if you know what I mean. I'm talking the crust looks like it was shaped by a perfect circular crust making machine and the toppings were all evenly spaced. Hell, the slices were all the same size!
So although I enjoyed the unique flavors of the pizza, I decided that everything interesting about this place makes it somewhat uninteresting and pedestrian. It's like finally going out on a date with that one super hot person from the opposite sex that is perfect in every regard, and then for whatever reason you don't like them as much anymore because they're TOO perfect.
Never Disappoints. What a great addition to old town Greenwood. We've had great service here for carryout, dine in, and delivery. Everything has great flavor, the sticks, pizza, sauces, salads, desserts etc. My favorite topping is their ricotta cheese!! We have tried several of their specialty pizzas and all are packed full of flavor. My hubs favorite is the Slaughterhouse 5 with fresh jalapenos added.
Quality. I have enjoyed most of the pizzas I have had from here, and you can tell that this restaurant really cares for the quality of ingredients. The Thai Chicken pizza is amazing if you don't mind a little heat. I can order half-and-half specialties when my carnivore DH "needs" a Slaughterhouse Five, and those two can co-exist on one pizza side-by-side pretty well. Any restaurant that serves Sprecher's soda gets an extra thumbs up from me.
Best pizza on the south side of Indy!. Love the pizza here. We've tried all the pizzas on the menu. Like some better than others but quality is always good. Spinach salad is great. We get that nearly every visit. Wee Mac on tap and they serve half pints of on tap beers. Service has always been good, too. Excellent choice for a family dinner out.
Had the BBQ pizza, really good flavor and nice thin crust, some of the best breadsticks we've had, and an efficient waitstaff with a fun personality. Nice beverage list, also.
Great Place!. I have been here many, many times and this place seems to get better every time. The bread sticks and creamy parmesan sauce are the best ever. The pie is the BEST in the area. The crust does not overtake this pizza place and the toppings are what you taste.. We will keep going here until they throw us out and make us leave!

Great!. We had a Living Social deal for $10 off at Jockamo, so we went last night.
The atmosphere was fun and relaxed, I don't know why some places just feel great inside and others don't, but this definitely does.
They were moderately busy - the patio outside was full up, but we don't eat outside anyway. We were greeted and shown to a table almost immediately. We were given menus to peruse, and then a few minutes passed (more than I would have liked) before someone came to take our drink order.
We got our drinks - the waitress remembered that my husband ordered extra lemon in his iced tea. We ordered a Maui pizza and the waitress let us substitute extra cheese for the green pepper, which I thought was great.
Our drinks were refilled in a very timely manner as we waited for our pizza. The wait time was perfect - not so short that we might've thought it had been pre-made and then topped - but not so long that we got bored and overly hungry.
The pizza was GREAT. I really liked the crust - not too thick, not too thin. It was thinner rather than thicker, so if someone is a fan of deep-dish or thick pizza, they might not like this pizza too much. But we loved it. It had a nice mix of flavors - ham, pineapple, bacon bits, onion, whatever else it was. It was so good we finished it.
The best part of all - our bill came and they had given us the ENTIRE BILL except for the tax ($1.30) even though the Living Social deal was only for $10 off! It would've been almost $17 without the coupon. So we were very impressed, and left a good tip.
We will be back again!
Absolutely love Jockamo. Def one of my all-time favorite pizza places. I'm a specialty pizza connoisseur, and with their wide variety of toppings and sauces, if you can imagine it, you can build it there. I typically build a pizza with the creamy parmesan as the base, then throw on chicken, bacon, and red peppers and it's a party in my mouth!!
Fantastic pizza with a great atmosphere. I'll be the first to admit that this place can be somewhat hit or miss on service, but come on: this place is always hopping during peak hours, and if people get behind, it's not because they're standing around doing nothing. The servers have always been friendly and courteous, willing to suggest toppings or a beer from their amazing selection of microbrews.
In terms of their pizza, I have pretty much always gotten the Greek with sausage, and it never let me down. Very fresh and just the right amount of flaky crust, the sauce is superb and very tangy, and they do not skimp on the toppings. It's almost impossible not to walk away full (normally with some leftovers, too).
This place gets a huge thumbs up, as they have friendly staff and food that is absolutely out of this world. Jockamo's is certainly upper crust!
UpdAted review: if you look at my march 2012 review, we use to love this place! Now I don't care if we ever go back! I'll do takeout b/c food is awesome! The service our last two times was horrendous! I believe it was the same male server . Not rude but NOT friendly, mumbles a lot, very apathetic. This last time he did not check on us once after food came out. Once we were done eating, we waited over 20mins for him before we asked a busboy toget our server. I am generous tipper especially when service is good! But I left 10% and the only reason I didn't leave 0% was b/c I know the busboys get part of those tips and it wasn't fair to stiff the only ones who actually were working (they filled water brough out our food, etc)

We had great service, everyone was very friendly & our drinks were filled frequently. My 9 yr old son, who is quite the foodie, stated his shrimp po' boy pizza was the best pizza he's ever had. My California Roll sandwich was fresh & tasty. Great local joint. Next time I plan to save room for dessert, they sound fabulous.

Pizza? What pizza? We were seated given menus and didn't see anyone for 15 minutes. Before we left my son says I bet they say thanks for coming when we leave. Guess what they sure did! Ha I said we were never served. Piss poor service.
First Timer. I had the Ship Wreck Pizza with Bread Sticks and Supposed to be Alfredo Sauce. Loved the Ship Wreck Pizza how ever be warned there pizza's are on the small side. I got the Medium and it was only 10 inch. Also found out when got the pizza that it came on close to a then crust. The crust was good but I wish I had been given the option to pick what type of crust I wanted.
I also had requested the Alfredo dipping sauce instead I got some Mayonnaise based Parmesan dipping sauce. It was OK but wish I had got the Alfredo sauce I requested
I will go back I will just know in the future to check everything like a Hawk
Amazing addition to Greenwood!. I live in Irvington and frequent that location regularly since it opened. Now, this location opened not 5 minutes from my work!!! OMG- nothing like death by breadsticks, salads & awesome pizzas, too? Not only have they done a fabulous job with the location, but the service is outstanding also. Ashleigh did a great job & we will all be asking for her attentive eye again and again.
Creative Pizza. Great pizza. Try the Cheese Louise or make your own 8" combos from an extensive list of toppings. The gorganzola salad dressing is yummy. Crowded nights do seem to overwhelm the staff a bit.
Wonderful!. I love this place, and my family and I eat here often. The pizza is simply fantastic, and it's a really great atmosphere for all types; families with kids, young people, etc. The food is very quality, and is always hot and exactly the way we ordered it. My only complaint would be there seems to be a very high turnover of servers, as there is a totally different waitstaff in there each time we go in (about 1-2 times a month). I don't mind new faces, but they do need to educate their new servers more about the menu.
This place is 100% win! They have a great menu with lots of choices. Its not just standard pizza fare but they have that too if that's what you are into. The wait staff is friendly and attentive and prices are just right for what it is.
Creative and Delicious!. I really enjoy their pizza creativity and a majority of products (even dips and dressings) are homemade. If you go there, the Chicken Pesto pizza is out of this world.
I can understand on some complaints of the delivery stipulations. I have been to their store, and I enjoy it, but I would like if they had a better delivery coverage area. I am RIGHT outside the zone and it bums me out. Sometimes me and my wife want their pizza but don't feel of making a night out of it. But I understand their stance as well. If they feel that way about their store and pizza freshness, then cut delivery out altogether.
Either way, great pizza and a problem that is easy overlooking.
Excellent pizza & atmosphere!. We went to Jockamo Upper Crust for the first time tonight and it WON'T be our last! As soon as you walk in, you notice the big dining area contemporarily decorated. Art hangs on the walls, some of which is for sale. We got some breadsticks and some parmesan cheese sauce- this sauce is my first recommendation. The breadsticks are some of the best I've ever had; hot, fresh, and lightly seasoned. We got the Slaughter House Five pizza, which has five kinds of meat on it. In a word, AWESOME. The crust was thin with ample amounts of cheese and meat. They have salads and sandwiches as well, which none of us had. The restaurant, including the restrooms, was clean. There is also an outside seating area. Due to the heft of this 16" pizza, we took part of it home with us. There is a reason this place ranks high on Urbanspoon. If you like pizza, you'll love Jockamo Upper Crust.

Refreshing 1st Impression. Being that there are no less than 2 pizza places on every corner, there has to be something special or at least different, to stand out in the pizza biz! When I was told that there was another pizza joint on the south side, I was less than thrilled, but the second I walked in the door to Jockamo, my mind started to change. My immediate first impression was mild shock. The restaurant, remember it's a pizza place, was modern, clean, and inviting! Stained concrete floors, modern artwork on the walls, solid glass front wall, and more! The overall look was very relaxed classy, and I liked it! As for the Pizza, and let me explain, for my first visit I had no apps, no salads, no desserts, nope I didn't even drink a soda, just water. All I wanted to sample was what this pizza place was there to sell. PIZZA. Some of my closest friends with me, young and older alike, we ordered three pizzas. The fact that you can order pizzas in 3 sizes makes it much easier to sample many house specialties! All three came at the same time around the 20 minute mark, not a bad ticket time at all, for the quality of the pies that we were served. First was their version of a classical Margharita pizza. It looked different than what I expected, but Wow, the garlic, the basil, incredible. We then dove into the Chicken Broccoli Alfredo pie. A pizza that I have had before, made before, and didn't think could get much better, but sadly I was wrong, Jockamos recipe was very good, but it was the crust that put their chicken Alfredo pie over the top. Very crispy, but at the same time chewy in the center. Their crust could win awards. Finally we started into the Meatball pizza. Now I have to admit that one of my friends ordered this pie with no peppers, but added pepperoni, against my wishes. I like to try a restaurants food as the Chef intended it to be eaten, But when I took my first bite, I lost all my ill feelings! Even a pizza as simple as meatball was somehow elevated to another level. I'm not sure if it's the sauce, the crust, or magic, but I don't care! The pizzas at Jockamo's are awesome. What ever the cooks are doing back there, KEEP DOING IT!!

PIZZA ….. I just love pizza. This week Pat and I decided we needed to try Jockamo ‘s Pizza. They have at least two locations. One on Washington Street in Irvington and one in Greenwood. We decided on the one in Greenwood because that fit in to our beer drinking plans for later. This location is huge. Nicely appointed and decorated and they even have a cute little beer and wine bar nestled in the back corner. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by a hostess and what apparently is their monkey mascot. When you first see the little fella you can help but grin. After all, who doesn’t like monkeys . But after editing the picture , the sucker could be a mite scary. But monkeys are all cute even the scary ones. They have a full menu. Big salads , little salads, sandwiches and daily lunch specials. Which are five dollars for a slice of pizza of the day, a small salad and a soft drink. That seems like a bargain. But Pat and I wanted PIZZA. They offer a 10 inch pie for $6.85. They also have a

Being recent migrants from Chicago, we have found it difficult to find decent pizza. Until we ordered from Jockamo today. Sausage, mushroom, and green pepper. Would easily pass in any Chicago neighborhood or suburb for quality of thin crust. Will definitely be coming back.
😭 phenomenal pizza, we ordered gf with vegan cheese before from here on a slow weekday, the pizza was average and didn't think about it again for MONTHS. We were craving pizza last night (Friday) and gave it another shot. Gluten free vegan pizza with veggies and a side of bay seasoning. I literally ate the whole pizza standing because I didn't want to waste any time walking 2 feet to get a plate. It was SO ON POINT DELICIOUS. One of my best experiences ordering gf, vegan food. The worker was helpful and kind over the phone. Well worth the hour delivery wait. They must have their front pizza line workers on the weekends!! Thank you so much!
The service was fine, a couple issues but totally nothing unusual for food service. The pizza is excellent. They have such a wide array of options for pizza and the specialty pizzas are great as well. I appreciate all the gluten free and vegan options as well, more inclusion of that stuff is always a great thing in my eyes. At the end of the day, it’s great pizza!
We drive a good 40minutes to eat Jockamo. We absolutely love this place! The best pizza by far.
I wanted to try something new so I ordered the Reubano sandwich. It comes with a choice if salad. I wasn't expecting the spinach salad to delight me like it did. The bacon was crispy, fresh spinach, fresh sliced mushrooms, egg crumbles and an amazing warm dressing. Wow
Even that didn't prepare me for the outstanding flavor party the Reubano brought to my mouth. Layers of interesting flavors that only seemed to make me hungrier for the next bite; smokey meat topped with melted cheese, tangy sauerkraut all tucked in a soft and chewy pretzel bun and escorted with 1000 island dressing. I usually don't finish a be sandwich but I devoured this incredible treat. I will definitely be back for more.
