To call this place the best bakery in the area isn't saying much, There really isn't anything else. When your competition is little more than major chain stores that can only do stencil work, if you even want to call it that, you can take pride in calling yourself the best, unfortunately, this is far from the truth. The cake is as dry as a bone, to be honest I've had kitty litter with more moisture, and if you ask these people to follow simple instructions, don't expect much. I've had three cakes made by these people and they have dropped the ball all three times. Apparently the concept of color is a bit much and the concept of design is way too much I wouldn't recommend this place to make a cake for a funeral let alone someone special occasion if you have the option pass be smart

I have ordered many birthday cakes, cupcakes, and even a ding dong cake and they all have been excellent.
We always loved taking the kids in there and seeing their eyes light up when they saw all the choices.

You absolutely will not find a better tasting donut hole in all of America. I can just about speak from experience.
They also make amazing cakes. My very first birthday cake from almost 28 years ago and many of them since were custom made from here.
If you’re from out of town you have to stop in and grab you a couple dozen of their donuts. You will not regret it!

This is small locally owned bakery that you would drive right by. But don't drive by it ... stop in! The glazed donuts, and especially the holes, are the best around. Other stuff too. Yum. Nothing pre-made, frozen, and shipped in. All fresh and homemade. Nothing fancy, but Oh So Good !!

Rode our Harley all the way from Glasgow Ky. Yesterday to get your glazed doughnuts...We have them before and just had to have some more! Martha Bryant waited on us and you couldn't ask for more friendly service! Thanks for your hospitality and those Ice Cold Waters came in handy on that hot bike ride! We will definitely come back!

It's tasty alright!. J&H Bakery is well known for it's doughnuts, and for good reason...they are fantastic - at least the plain glazed and doughnut holes are. As for their other offerings...well, let's just say they lack imagination and are SORELY lacking in passionate presentation. Icing and frosting appear globbed on without thought. Chess bars, no bakes and the like are so overly sweet they make my teeth hurt!! The employees can be surly at times...but are usually friendly, even if they have to force it. I imagine when this bakery first opened it was a lively place to be...but it presents like a business that's just hanging on until the owners can afford to retire. It could be sooo much more...!!
