Its good but Ichiban next to Kroger is phenomenally better !!! Im still trying to figure out how they get all the meat out of the shrimp shells !!! No matter what i always leave a little meat in the tail but theirs are completely deveined and shelled complete with the little tail meat....!!!

I love eating here. I'm a picky eater, and this place had food I actually like. It's really good, authentic sushi. I read some of the comments, and I have to say, I haven't had a problem with the staff any of the 30+ times I've been there this year. I'd definitely recommend going if you like Asian food.

Excellent food!. Food is really excellent, don't let the bad reviews deter you from trying this restaurant! i do agree, however, that the wait staff is unenthusiastic and barely polite. the wait staff is also unfamiliar with the menu. the food is worth trying; we go once a week.

All around disappointment. To start off with the wait staff was not up to par. I think our waitress forgot to take her peppy pills for the day and was just unenthused with life. While waiting for our food our entertainment came in the form of timing how long it would take for a waitress to clean up a spill next to our table, 10 minutes before someone came out with a mop. We were hoping that the food would outshine the lack of help in the restaurant. After our food arrived, the salad had no dressing on it. We used the yum yum that is kept on the tables since our waitress wasn't coming back any time soon. The onion soup was very good. Then our sushi order arrived and we were not impressed. The rice had no flavor at all. It was as if they just took it out of the steamer, no vinegar or seasoning. Our eel roll had almost no eel in it, you were hard pressed to find it or taste it. Then our hibachi meal arrived. The fried rice was just rice with soy sauce on it and it was undercooked. All of our meat was tough and the vegetables were either under or overcooked. We were very disappointed since we had heard it was the best place in town for Asian cuisine.

Great place and excellent deal. There is nothing I have ordered at Yamato that I do not like. The price is right, and service is excellent. I had a teriyaki salmon dish at lunch that was VERY good and VERY cheap. I Love this new place.
