Wonderful place! Tables are nicely spaced, lots of local & home made stuff to buy. Lunch is delicious! Got the Philly Cheese steak & it was fabulous! Ordered my mom the archer & absolutely loved it! The cheesecake in the fridge is also divine! A must go to! The environment is fantastic!

The team at Downtown Butcher is fantastic! I live in California but I grew up in Greenville. My family takes me here for lunch every time I’m home. The food is great.
I’ve also had them cater lunches for my dads office and make casseroles for sick family members. They go above and beyond each time!

The sandwich and fries were both delicious

Food is good. Each visit i try something different. Not disappointed. Nice place in Greenville to cool out with ice cream. Today I'm picking up Mississippi items for a friend's birthday gift. She lives in Chicago I wanted to share a little bit of Mississippi

Clean environment...sells variety of items, such as hard scoop serve ice cream, sandwiches and chips, old fashioned milk shakes, etc.

3 strikes, this place is out! I've given Downtown Butcher 3 chances and it's not worth my time or money. It's not terrible, but it's not great either. I can make the entire menu at home...and much better! I got the Rueben sandwich on my first visit. The bottom bread was soggy/soaked with sauerkraut juice and there wasn't enough cheese in my opinion. On the 2nd visit, I got the Archer sandwich. It's a basic turkey sandwich, nothing special. My last visit, I ordered a brisket sandwich (one of the specials for that day). Wow! 3/4th inch slices of brisket..with some slices being 75% fat. It was supposed to have coleslaw on it, but it looked more like a mixture of bad lettuce and largely sliced onions. It was super weird! I think the fries are homemade, but they're not that good and lacking flavor. My biggest problem with this place is the high prices for the average food (i.e. $5 to add chicken to a salad???). If the food was better, then I'd feel better about the cost. Other than the food, the store is really cute and there are some unique finds in there.

Came in for the first time eager to buy some of the meats when the older white woman kindly greeted the white couple who entered before us. But when we walked up she didn’t greet us nor did she ask if we needed help. She just looked at us with an unpleasant facial expression so we decided to leave. It absolutely sickens me to see the consistent prejudices and racism in Greenville within some of the whites. Will never visit this place again.
