Review Lemon Grass - Greenville

Alexandra Presley
Flavor was good but portions were smaller than what you typically get from Thai places. I got the chicken pad Thai and two egg rolls for $20. Delicious but probably wouldn’t pay that much for the portion size in the future. Staff was super friendly and professional and the wait time was quick (10-15minutes)

Food was bland and way over priced. I normally don't complain and give people the benefit of the doubt but everything we ordered was not good. Didn't even finish our food or even pack it. My sister ordered a hot water, HOT TAP WATER heated up and was charged for it. Never have I ever seen something like this. If she was gonna charged for it then she would have just ordered something worth the $. Not authentic at all. Very disappointed.

New in town and wanted to try some Thai food. Food was overpriced, dishes me and my husband ordered both were salty, meat taste bland, poor portion considering the price. Also, they charged for water!! Wasn’t happy that they serve bottled water, then they charged for it. Plus, it feels like self-serve restaurant even tho the price is high. Won’t be back!

thai tea is amazing! i got the chicken satay noodles and my partner had cashew chicken. great food, a little pricey, but worth it

Ordered Crispy Beef and Ginger Chicken. Beef had no flavor. Chicken tasted like boiled chicken. Rice tasted old. 🤢 No traditional Thai flavors at all! I asked for the check, they asked if I needed a box, I kindly said not necessary, I would not be eating it. When I explained it was the worst food experience I have had, they did offer a to go dish. Again, not necessary. Paid my check, IN FULL, $50 for lunch. Sorry not sorry, didn't leave a cash tip. Here's a tip - add flavor to your food!!!

First time dining here. Our waitress was friendly and professional. We ordered lettuce wraps, Spring rolls and chicken satay. Lemongrass fried rice and pad thai. The food was amazing! The koi fish in the pond are huge! Definitely stop driving by and stop in for some authentic Thai food.

My wife and I went last night for valentines… good food but wayyyyyy overpriced and we felt like they rushed us out! I mean the waitress was taking plates away before we were finished and we felt like they were watching us the whole time. We sat down and ate in 30 minutes Anyway our bill was $38 for two plates and 2 pathetic spring rolls. Stay away… spend your money elsewhere.

Food was very bland and tasted like a microwave meal. The restaurant itself was also dingy and generally unclean, and the bathroom was gross. There are plenty of other good restaurants in Greenville, eat somewhere else.

Lemongrass has to be one if the best, if not the best meals in Greenville! My go to menu choices are Lemon chicken and Thai chicken fried rice. Not only is the food wonderful the service is too. Everyone there is so very nice! Give them a try, you won't regret it! Oh! And try the fried banana, vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzle! You'll be happy you did! 😊

I have been eating at Lemongrass for years since they opened. The restaurant is very clean. Food is excellent, service is friendly and quick and the staff goes the extra mile to make sure your experience is the best! They know me by name and what I order every time. Their soups are the best and they have a nice selection of beer both draft and bottle. Lemongrass is your quaint neighborhood Thai spot!

One of my top 10 favorite places to eat. The staff are very nice. Sometimes getting a drink refill can take a little while but the food is always good.

We ate there yesterday for the first time. We ordered off the lunch menu. That food was excellent! The portion size was perfect. I loved the atmosphere and the staff could not have been more accommodating and attentive. Looking forward to our next visit.

We love Lemongrass and eat there often. The food is fresh, and tasty, but also healthy. I am enjoying the beef noodle bowl this fall. And you can't go wrong with the hibachi dishes.Everything is good. The staff treat us like family and are so nice. The service is great.I had my birthday there last year and they treated my family like royalty.

Best Thai food I've had! Staff is awesome! Definitely one of the best stops in Greenville. If you've never tried Thai before, check out Lemongrass.

I have been going to Lemongrass for several years and have always received superb service and meals there. The servers are always friendly and go above and beyond to provide the guests an excellent dining experience. One of my favorites there is the Spicy Crispy Beef, it's awesome!

I will no longer be bringing my business to Lemongrass. I use to love eating here and I have spent a lot of money with this restaurant. Today I found a bug in my chicken stir fry. After calling back to let them know and being offered for the food to be remade (I declined) I was told what they could do for me is give me a credit towards my next meal. I politely told the woman on the line that after find a bug in my food I will not be coming back. The rationale given for why there might be a bug in my food is because they sometimes open the door to the kitchen and something can fly in. I am extremely dissatisfied with this visit and with the way it was handled. I would like my money refunded to my card and not a credit to my account. I've been sick to my stomach since and it just all in all gross and disappointing.

Freshest sushi in town! Attentive owner and wait staff ALWAYS delight us and ALWAYS make us feel welcome! Try the spicy tuna roll and the lettuce wraps!

Do not eat at this restaurant. Horrible ownership. Poor service. Bad food. They do not value customers. I would go hungry before i spent my money at this restaurant. If you want to pay premium prices for TV dinner food this is your place.

This was the worst Asian food I have ever had. The "to die for" spring rolls came out with a metal shaving in the plum dipping sauce. We ordered crispy chicken and Thai spicy drunken noodles. My "fried rice" was steamed rice with soy sauce poured over it. My wife's noodles were bland, slimy, and tasted like vegetable oil and her beef was still red/undercooked. (I'll post a couple pics) My peppers were over cooked and limp and the chicken was also bland and cut so thin it was dry. This is NOT one to try for any reason. We payed, left, and went to another restaurant.

Horrible service. The food is a disappointment, definitely not real Thai. I've had better Thai food prepackaged at the grocery store. Boyfriend accidentally left glasses there, we came back within 10 minutes to get them, and they had somehow broken his glasses. Like wtf???

Quite Good but Pricey. Went there for lunch on a few different occasions. Each time I was greeted extremely well, the atmosphere is fairly intimate, and the restaurant itself is very, very clean! The food I ordered was delicious and presented very well. If I didn't understand what I was ordering, the waitress was very knowledgeable. The only issue I have is that the portions are way to small for the price charged. When I am asked to pay good money for a meal and it's accompanying service, I expect a "normal" sized portion for a small adult -- it's really quite overpriced for what I have had elsewhere that was just as good, if not better! I probably won't go there agin unless someone else will pick up the tab!

Not worth it. Funny enough for the price this place charges, you'd expect decent thai food. My wife and I decided we want to give this place a try and we regret it. The portions were very shy for $12-$13 plates. We decided to give this place a try regardless of the reviews but we learned it the hard way. I hope the owners open their eyes and realize what they're putting out and serving their guest. We also ordered noodle plates which were soggy and drenched with what tasted like straight sweet syrup. It was just too much. I wouldn't bring my loved ones there again.

Ripped off. I'm pretty fair when it comes to eating out and particularly not picky. I'm willing to spend good money for good food. I'm a very loyal customer and is the kind that you can bet on seeing me at least 3 days out of the week. However Lemongrass won't be that kind of place nor will I ever step foot on that place again. Customer service was ok, but that I can easily shrug off. The menu was pricey but even PRICIER when you take a look at what comes out and is set on your table. First off I ordered eggrolls and springrolls. They were two tiny and cut in half. Pretty sad considering they were about $4. You guys can do better than that. the springrolls....were disgusting. To those of you who've never had fresh springrolls, They're supposed to taste fresh, cold, and loaded with veggies. The ones the server brought out to me were warm and the rice paper was chewy. To those of you familiar... this means it was pre-made wayyyyyyyy early and microwaved to soften the rolls. In this case it was probably yesterdays leftovers. I'm a bit bothered by it because I paid $5 for it and again two little rolls cut in half. I've been to decent moms and pops that charge less for excellent rolls. You must think your customers are stupid and that you can just take advantage of us.My pad thai was (putting head down) a SHAME. Don't even call it pad thai if you're gonna smother it with ketchup. All I tasted was ketchup. Please give me my money back. I hope first time pad thai customers don't go there. I wouldn't want them leaving with a bad impression on what pad thais should taste like.

Overall this place is a rip off, especially for what they offer. If you guys are going to charge that much please amp up the quality of your food and not just serve what you can make with your leftovers. Maybe you had a fill in cook that day? Either ways I'm not going back. To those of you who love Lemongrass good for you. To those of you still trying to make up your mind, you deserve better...especially since that money in your wallet is hard earned.

Cheap Thai using pre-made sauces. Our food was delivered less than 5 minutes after we ordered. I ignored the red flag (menu items listed in English) which I won't do again. I'll give it two stars...

Great Thai. We usually go to another Thai restaurant but it was closed so we decided to try the Lemongrass. I am certainly impressed with their food. I ordered several items on the menu and each item was amazingly great. The crispy chicken was a more spicy than I had anticipated but it was a nice surprise. I will be returning.

There are better Thai places in town. This was very bad experience. everything I ordered was saturated in coconut milk. I like coconut milk but this was over kill. and the mushrooms are from a can! veggies didn't taste fresh. dishes were tasteless, which is the opposite of Thai food!

Simple, Fresh, Healthy. My wife and I enjoy coming here for some local, tasty Thai food. This restaurant is family owned by some very nice people, offers healthy and delicious fare, without the 2,000+ calories and 3,000+mg of sodium of all the chain restaurants in town.

Great for chinese. The food is great for chinese....it's not Thai that's for sure. Definitely needs a lot more spice.

Go for the Spring Rolls. I went about two years ago and the spring rolls were to die for! They are served with some sort of plum sauce I believe and that was just delicious! If nothing else go for the spring rolls!
