Review Denny's - Greenville

Just left the restaurant with my sister and dad who normally enjoy eating here. Unfortunately they had a horrible experience today. The restaurant wasn’t busy and eventually we were seated. The waitress was initially friendly and took our order without writing it down. I only ordered onion rings, which came out a good 15 minutes before their food. She greeted them with their food by saying. “ok what’s wrong with this” as she set it on the table. My dad’s eggs were over cooked, the pancakes were ice cold, he got potatoes he didn’t order, and we never received any refills. Before we even left she was loudly talking to other employees about us. I just quietly observed. This negative experience could have easily been turned a bit more positive with a positive attitude. Vent to your fellow coworkers in private.

Super classic Denny's experience - the service was excellent, seriously our waitress was so so nice, patient, and funny. Food is classic diner fare - decent vegetarian options, not much for vegans as they don't have the Beyond meat offerings at this spot right now. For a good old fashioned diner experience though it's exactly what.youre looking for and truly open 24 hours with lovely staff, iconic booths, clean restrooms, and classic food.

Sad experience this visit. It took a few minutes to be seated and about fifteen minutes to get our first drinks, but the server was trying really hard to please all of the customers, even those being served by her missing supposedly coworkers. We waited about thirty five minutes to get our food which was for me simple scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and hashbrowns. No they weren't very busy at the time of my arrival. Other customers noted the same thing as they passed my table upon finishing their meals. Top it off with a nearly five plus minute wait to pay.

There was an employee sleeping snoring loudly in the dinning area. Our waitress kept trying to wake him but he'd brush her off. Our waitress was lovely and got our food to us hot and quick. Thank you, Cooks it was delicious.

I ordered through DoorDash, after months of craving restaurant breakfast foods; unfortunately, I ended up so disappointed. In the photo: the left meal was the Double Berry Banana Pancakes with scrambled eggs, hash browns, and sausage links plus an extra side meat of bacon. I only received pancakes with blueberries - no other fruits or the whipped topping. The meal on the right was the Mile High Denver Omelette (customized with extra peppers and onions), with wheat toast and a side of fruit. Clearly, I only received the omelette. The scrambled eggs and hash browns were less than decent, the meats were fine, the pancakes were satisfactory despite the missing ingredients, and the omelette was okay enough. Overall, not a great first experience at this Denny's. I got a refund from DD for the missing fruit and toast, but I would have much rather received the items I wanted and that should have been in my order. I ordered these specifically for the fruits, so it was a major letdown. Do better!

I know this is not all Denny's fault. Went to eat there today, (Sunday). Well we waited an hour for our food. This was morning breakfast. I asked the waitress how much longer before we got our food. She didn't know . The kitchen staff was backed up. It could be "a long time" she stated. Well, I had somewhere to go and could not wait any longer. I told her to cancel my ticket and we left. I was not happy and I was late in leaving to take my grandson home 2+ hours away.

Cheesecake was foul! It tasted rotten and same with the strawberries on it! Do the employees even check to make sure things are NOT expired?

Food was good, staff was extremely friendly, waitress checked on us multiple times and brought drink refills before we asked. Only complaints are that there was no designated host, so waiting to be seated took a couple minutes and so did paying our bill. Also, the menus had pages that stuck together, so hand sanitizer is a must after handling. They do have hand sanitizer at the register.

We went for breakfast yesterday and will not go back. We waited for then 30 minutes to get our food. From the time we sat down to them bringing us our food was over an hour. No one came to keep us informed about the delay until we asked. Not cool. I ordered no mushrooms on my order and it had mushrooms, my eggs were over cooked and no one asked if I wanted a refill. No excuses

They have the best breakfast in the � and the service was great. The Omelet. Is the best one of my favorite spot.

Not really my kind of place...but I truly enjoyed it! The food was good. The server was attentive. I will be returning. Good coffee.

We've eaten here many times over the past few years, and the food nor service has ever disappointed us. We ate here today, Christmas Day, and despite being short staffed as expected on a day like this, our food was delicious and our Server was very attentive and apologetic for the minor delay in getting our food. Slower than normal, but that was expected. We have had the same waitress for 2 Christmas Day meals now, and she is definitely one of the best!

Food was good, had to wait longer than I thought we should for food, waitress were playing with cell phones while food was on counter waiting to be served

Very bad experience! Waited longer then 30 minutes for food to come. I could see food in the window. The waitress actually knew someone there and sat down in the booth with them and was talking with them instead of delivering food. All of the other waitresses checked to see if order up was their's. They just left it there. Food came to table cold. Did not leave tip. Will not be coming back.

The wait was too long for the food it was just really unorganized but the food was great

Visited Denny's yesterday. It had been a long time since we had been there. WOW! What a change. Denny's in Greenville is now under different management. Our food was great! I sat there and watched the crew. By watching them I could tell they have a super manager. Everyone appeared happy, there were smiles like you would not believe and the aura between one another was so heartwarming. They not only helped with the customers but with one another. I noticed an elderly couple, the wife in a wheelchair, the lady needed to use the restroom and she needed her husbands assistance , their waitress checked the restroom to make sure it was vacant. It was so he took her in, the waitress let her manager know that she would be standing near the ladies restroom door and why. The manager took care of the waitresses station while she waited outside of the door. I was very impressed for I had never seen this done before. I was really amazed how helpful, friendly, happy, courteous and kind everyone was not only to the customers but to each other. I had to share my observations to the manager. It was a very whimsical atmosphere. Will we go back to Denny's in Greenville? Looking forward to our next visit. Did I mention how good the food was? If I didn't, I am sorry, the food was very good. Yes! The new manager is a wonderful asset to this restaurant, you can tell just by the crew.

Great food I loved the seasonal cranberry and orange pancakes they were delicious and our waitress did a great job!!

My waiter was very friendly and the food was great! He even went and beyond for my daughter whom asked a million questions. Great job Night Shift

I love the Loaded Veggie Omelets. They’re helping me to lose weight so far, with my weight loss goals. Their food is always delicious.

Good food and Good service on Christmas Eve no less the wife had banana cream pancake I had a breakfast skillet under 25 bucks can't beat it

Saw their ads in the paper...been going since. Love what they are doing there! Love this gem!

We wait to much, then the service was very poor and all the restaurant was nasty.. dirty tables and what about the floor... and they still ask for tip. OMG.. I'll never back here.
