American Burger Co

It's fast food ish. The quality is pretty good and it's not super fast, but it's always tastey. I really like the fries. The people are friendly and service is great. It's trying to be high end, kinda ritzy all while being something reminiscent of Steak N' Shake. Not super cheap though. Me and my date was $25. Overall it's definitely worth visiting at least once.

Today was the fourth or fifth visit. The previous times I have been here it was a pleasant experience. I like the location, the decor, the fried pickles. However, today was not that pleasant. Arrived around 1:30pm. (On previous occasions we were seated by a server and had table service.) Placed our order at the counter after being told that table service had not started yet. Not sure if the lady working the front register was new or improperly trained. But, she offered no help. My wife and I placed our order for a burger basket (comes with drink and fries or tots) and a grilled cheese with tots for our son and some fried pickles. She tells us to have a seat and will bring our order when ready. Have a seat and we are waiting for our drinks. She brings out the pickles and I ask for our drinks. "Oh, its selfserve." She replied. But, she didn't give us our cups. She did go make our drinks (2 sweet tea and a Sprite.) Brings our order to the table and mine is missing fries. So, I ask where my fries are. "Oh, I didn't charge you for fries. I thought you only had one basket and were going to share." Umm... No. She did get me some fries. And as if to top it off the grilled cheese was burnt to a crisp. (I'll attach a photo.) And my wife's burger was "disgusting and unflavorful". So, I'm crossing this off our list of choices. As this will be our last time here. There are far to many, better choices in town.

Not sure what's going on with the other reviews, but our meal was good. We were seated immediately, and fried pickles were delivered in under five minutes. Our meal was served in under 20, and was good. It's a little pricey for what it is, but it was worth it. Pretzel burger and Hot mess were the burgers we got. Both were good. Kids were happy.

Restaurant was understaffed. Lost my order. I was with 3 other people and all 3 of us had to track down the server multiple times to get our order delivered. I ordered the hot mess burger which had a decent flavor, but was mostly underwhelming. My food didn't arrive until my friends were almost done with their meals. The manager did come by later with some coupons for our next visit, so I give him credit for acknowledging the poor service level. I like the location as parking is more accessible than in the heart of downtown. Have visited this restaurant 2x. The first experience was better which is why I returned. May give it one last shot to be fair.

4 star yummy food, 1 star service Facts: 1. I ordered online the day before. 2. My coworker called to confirm 30 minutes before we were supposed to go there to eat and they had no record of my order though I had an order confirmation email and they had taken the money out of my account. 3. They sort of had my food ready minus the shake - that took 5 minutes. 4. My other coworkers that walked into the building (total of 7 of us) that ordered directly at the store - 4 got their food within 20 minutes - 2 got their food in 35 minutes. 5. There were 2 men and 1 lady working in the kitchen. The lady had long hair without a hair net and was touching her hair with her food gloves and then working with the food. 6. I have eaten at this place 3 times in the past 3 years. Every time there has been something that has gone wrong - either I had to wait 30+ minutes for my food, or the order was wrong. 7. Sharon, manager or supervisor did the best she could and tried to have my order ready obviously trying not to be frustrated with the lack of expeditious help. On previous visits the owner/manager gave discount cards for either a free meal, $2 off the next meal, or what not. 8. Their food is amazingly wonderful - I got chicken strips, fries, and a shake and it was delicious as always which is what keeps me willing to come back to this store but I noticed this 3rd visit that the lunch hour this Thursday was marked by an absence in patrons.
