Sunset Cafe

I am not only happy to write this about Sunset Cafe’ but honestly I’m honored to write it. My experience is a bit different than other reviews because I am writing about my wedding which was held at Sunset Cafe’ 2-19-2022. Sunset was more than happy to accommodate ceremony and reception, however it was a last minute wedding for us because not only is my husband fighting cancer but my brother who I desperately wanted to walk me down the aisle is also fighting cancer and has been getting very weak by the day due to his treatments. We explained all this to Angela the owner of Sunset and from that moment on she was AMAZING, she took every idea I had and made it even better. Because of Angela and her staff my entire wedding day from start to finish was absolutely perfect!!! To say they went above and beyond for my wedding would truly be an understatement. Angela stayed up the night before decorating and making sure everything was perfect for the next morning, they provided decorations that I didn’t have, they turned the Cafe’ into a beautiful and magical place. The food was absolutely amazing, everyone who attended including myself could tell that they put a lot of time, effort and love into every single part of our special day, you can really tell when someone takes pride in their work and it was obvious to me how proud Angela is of her restaurant and her employees. We have had a rough couple of years, our family has experienced a lot of losses, tough times and heartaches. Our wedding day was the first day in so long that we can honestly say we was truly happy the entire day, it wouldn’t have been possible without Angela and her staff, and that is why I am writing this review, to let Angela know that she will never understand how much everything she did meant to my husband and I also highly recommend Sunset Cafe’ for any type of event. A true Mom-n-Pop Italian Restaurant! Usually, when I am presented with a generous portion in a restaurant, my radar goes up a notch, thinking they are going quantity over quality. BUT NOT AT THE SUNSET! My party was presented with very generous portions of Italian dishes that were lovingly prepared from scratch and that were SO good they made you wanna smack your momma. This is truly a gem of a restaurant that focuses on detail and on doing it right. Last evening we observed the owner totally strip a 10-top and reset it herself because she wasn't happy with the presentation it made. That my friends is attention to detail! And it carries over to the food. Prices are reasonable, wine list is complex and covers some unusual varietals. Great place to go, and often. Kudos Sunset Cafe, and Thank You for another excellent experience.

Being a business owner myself, It is the small small things and customer service that really matter to me the most. The establishment went above and beyond while I spent my time there and I could not of been any happier with my experience. The staff were amazing respectful, caring, and very attentive. The food was Wonderful Taste, portions, and time it arrived to my table were all better than any expectation I hard, and my favorite part was the atmosphere I felt right at home with it being warm and inviting. Overall could not say better things about this place and I will be back that is for sure!

So we got to this restaurant on Sunday an hour and half before they close, excited to try it.... unfortunately it was horrible horrible service from the minute we walked in. First off we stood there at the door for 5 min before we were greeted as the bartenders could see us. When we got sat on bar side we ordered our drinks which I was excited to try and as they are making them we can literally hear them running their mouths about us and just being so incredibly rude as too why we were there AN HOUR AND A HALF BEFORE THEY CLOSE.. Long story short we canceled our order and left, it took alot for me not to say something too them but we will never ever be back. Good luck to the new owners hopefully they hire better staff.
