Hands down my absolute favorite bakery in Greensboro and maybe in all of NC. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They care that you are there and that you like your coffee or bakery items. I have a difficult time picking bc everything looks so beautiful and delicious! It's a great "problem" to have. My husband lived in Italy and this is the only place he'll order a cappuccino. I'm used to the more sugary drinks so I get a hot caramel. So good!!!

We went to this store for the first time today. Really like their desserts. There is an outside sitting area with three tables and there are three tables inside as well. Overall good quality and fresh desserts.

This is a cute little place to go for dessert. I went for my birthday and everyone picked out a dessert. They have larger and smaller portions of many desserts. Some options are even gluten free. I recommend the lobster tail, zeppole, tiramisu cup, and macaroons. The cheesecake was a little weird according to my dad.

Ok, I never seen a diploma on the wall in a pastry shop so this made me stop to wonder for a moment, then I ordered the mini lobstertail hazelnut with Americana coffee, when I sat to eat it I felt like I was back in a patisserie on the Champs Elyse, in Paris. Only thing missing would be the smell of the baguettes and butter croissants. I have always missed this and have been on a search since moving here to Greensboro for a decent pastry shop, well today I found it. I am french European and the Italian pastries here would cut it, the lobstertail hazelnut is DEVINE, the crunch is heavenly and cream is out if this world. Menu selection was perfect, the atmosphere was pleasant, clean store and service was nice as well. Omg, I wrote a book, sorry but it's that good. 😅

I had been in search of an Italian bakery since Cozy Cannoli shut its doors, and while Dolce & Amaro isn’t nearly as close by, it did not disappoint. The selection here is solid, boasting everything from cannoli to macarons to various tarts and squares. They also offered bomboloni, filled donuts that, as a northern New Jersey native, I am embarrassed to not have been familiar with. Fortunately, that was a problem quickly remedied. For our first visit, my wife and I tried the aforementioned bombolone (with pastry cream) and a macaron along with a hot pistachio and hot caramel, respectively, and a pair of mini-squares (tiramisu cheesecake and hazelnut) to sample later. The espresso beverages were rich and satisfying, especially during a cold morning. The squares hit all the right flavor notes and were not too sweet. While I would definitely try the tiramisu cheesecake again (likely in a larger form), I would probably opt for a different bombolone filling in the future. These delicious offerings combined with patient and accommodating staff leave Dolce & Amaro with a lot for patrons to appreciate. However, there are a few drawbacks. The “artisan” label correlates to higher prices (though not outrageously so), and the bakery is quite small. This isn’t a problem for to-go orders, but if you’re eating in, expect bustling rather than quaint (provided that you can snag a table). Were Dolce & Amaro nearer to home, I could see myself becoming a regular here. It is better for both my wallet and my health that this isn’t the case, but it’s a place I’ll keep in mind during future Greensboro visits.

Beautiful pastries, delicious desserts, and the people that work there are very nice as well!! All around great experience. Can’t wait to go back. Pic includes: coconut tarte, apricot tarte, fruit tarte, strawberry tarte, dark chocolate macaroon, small napoleon, and a dulce de leche biscotti
