Superb Dining Experience!. If you are looking for a quaint place with great service and fabulous food...look no further! The Sedgley Place is a unique dining experience, everyone at your reserved scheduled time get served at the same time. Starting with crackers and a homemade cheese spread, then warm bread and butter, then hors d'œuvres, next comes the salad, and then your entree, followed by coffee and dessert.
Very friendly staff, wonderful atmosphere, excellent food!
I LOVE Sedgley's!. This restaurant is just a beautiful place to go for a night out with someone near and dear. The food is wonderful. The staff is very attentive and pleasant.
We arrived 10 minutes prior to our reservation and put our masks on and entered the restaurant and found all staff wearing masks, we were seated right away. All tables were socially distanced. Once we received our drinks, we took our masks off. We made our choices on the 5 course meal and everything was timed just right. I had the Asian roasted duck and my wife had the Baked Haddock. The duck was cooked to perfection and was exquisite. My wife's Haddock was also cooked well. Our waiter was a young man by the name of Caleb and be did an exceptional job in keeping the course coming at a good pace, he was very professional and the Sedgley Place should be proud to have him on their staff. This was my third time in visiting and each time I was never disappointed.
Servers were courteous and professional. Each course was better than the last. What you see below is the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin with demi glace, whipped potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Highly recommended, and was still under $100 for two (not including tip).
We went for New Years Eve, the tables were a safe distance from each other. Atmosphere was beautiful. The meal was delicious with so manu things to choose, from appetizers to dessert. Rachel our server was very attentive and took her time with us.
We came for a wine and food tasting. The fondue was good which was white cheddar moray with a cranberry anadama bread.
The soup was a corn and cod chowder which was awesome.
The spicy cabbage salad was lacking and was overpowered by the amount of sausage on the plate.
The apple cider mimosa was a bit to sweet for me but the pumpkin sugar on the rim was very tasty.
The entrée was a roast rack of pork Au Poivre was good but could have used less apple butter. Also our friends pork was under cooked.
The dessert was to die for! It was called a long John. It was a spiced pumpkin "long john" and dark chocolate mol'e. Goes so well with a merlot or pino!
A great evening. The place has a great atmosphere, which is very romantic, the food was exceptional and the wine pairing was superb.
Be prepared for a large meal. The 5 course dinner makes for a great meal. Never had a bad meal, dont expect I will here. Service has always been great, and the new ownership seems to have the same commitment to quality ingredients and quality food. Great place to go if you're trying to impress someone and always worth the price!
Nice atmosphere, great service but felt rushed.
One of our absolute favorite places! Always great food and a great experience! Had dinner outside for the first time this year and absolutely loved it!
