Love the funny signage like “don’t smash your face into the glass door” and the cheese is good, too.

Amazing selection of wonderful cheeses. It would be overwhelming but it isn't because the staff give customers all the time they need to ask questions and sample the vast array of products. You can buy any quantity you want. The place is fantastic!

Rubiner's is a cheesy heaven. A perfect update to an historic building, it's temple-like feel is appropriate for the sumptuous provisions that Matt provides to his Berkshire public. A rare treat to have in the country. It was an honor to design both the store and the café all those years ago and to see that they have stood the test of time. All we need now is the final conversion of the bank vault into a cheese cave and the pearly gates won't shine any brighter.

This was my second time visiting. The people working there are very knowledgable and helpful. I got a bunch of new cheeses at the recommendation of the young woman helping us and they are all great!!! I love the variety of cheeses here and am already looking forward to my next visit!

The cheese selections are fantastic. They have quite the assortment of hard and soft cheeses from around the world. They also have different kinds of hams and prosciutto and sausages and meats, including some smoked salmon and other delicacies. They have an extensive selection of jams, jellies, hot sauces, wines, bread, candies, and frozen delicacies, such as ice cream, and refrigerated meats. Their products are of high-quality and worth the price .the staff were very helpful and helped with questions I had and some cheese choices.we purchased some Swiss cheese, prosciutto ham from Italy and smoked salmon. They were delicious.thanks!

Like a fine art shop, but for food, especially Jesus, I mean cheeses. When I walk into this store, I always see the owner, whom I believe is named Michael. His quiet presence is so strong here that it feels like he has been a part of the shop for centuries. He effortlessly maneuvers behind the cheese counter, displaying skill, expertise and a love of fine food. A true artisan.

Killer wine section. Wasn’t expecting to find such a large selection of biodynamic, natural, & organic wines, but was a nice surprise when I stopped in to grab some meats and cheeses for lunch. Nice selection of beer too. Staff was friendly & helpful with recommendations.

Lovely, extremely well curated wine and cheese shop. Only complaint I can think of is it was too hard to decide! The mongers were very helpful. Also got some pesto on a whim, and it may be the best pesto I’ve ever had in my life. Having to restrain myself from eating it straight out of the container with a spoon!

Yes yes yes yes yes. This is a wonderful cheese shop and the people in it do a lovely job of recommending wine to pair with whatever you might be buying! This is a foodie’s paradise. Lovely displays, charm and products.

Cheese Lover's Paradise! Never seen a cheese store like this. Makes me want to say all the cheesy puns now. They have a vast variety of artisan cheeses, chocolates, sweets, and paté. The staff is very polite and knowledgeable about the cheeses. Also they have a cafe in the back that makes amazing grilled cheeses.

5 stars for selection and overall. Less for service. Can smell the cheese from outside. Pricy but I guess that comes with the territory. Delicious and many, many options sourced from throughout the world within a gorgeous store. They also have all the accompaniments you could imagine to go with. While one of the staff members was helpful, I have to agree with some the other reviewers about their pretentious nature...not warm at all and we all felt that way separately upon leaving.

A really great store really nice staff great selection both cheese wine bread and some other snacks. Can't say enough nice things it's always a great stop winning Great Barrington. Recently I took my son in and they were so kind and thoughtful to give him an education on cheese in the most unassuming and pleasant way. Wow that was so nice of you thanks again we'll come back soon. In fact I might suggest that possibly you guys walk down the street and go to the prairie well maybe you can teach them what service is like.

Bought a sampling of products including meat, cheese, butter and bread; all were excellent quality. Service was awkward - a young woman behind the counter ignored us entirely. I asked a question about one of the cheeses, and a young man also behind the counter just silently picked up the cheese and packaged and priced it. I'm confident in the quality of what they carry, but if you like to learn more about what you're purchasing, this place might be a tough time.

Amazing selection of cheeses, many locally made and spanning a variety of sources. Offered are well paired meats, breads, crackers and wines. They also have a pleasing selection of imported pastas, sauces, candies and an impossible to choose from wall of jams! Staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful! Will definitely become a staple on our list when we visit the Berkshires!
