I grabbed a bite here on my way back from a trip. I was blown away. I couldn't believe that a place like this existed and was off my radar. It might be the best food in all of Great Barrington. The dessert was one of the best desserts I've had in my life. I highly recommend the short ribs.

We absolutely LOVED our dining experience at Cafe Adam. We stopped in for dinner at the bar in November while spending the weekend in the Berkshires. The staff were extremely professional, knowledgeable and went to great lengths to ensure we enjoyed our dining experience and the food and drinks. The mussels were out of this world as was the goat cheese truffle toasts. The cocktails were on point and seasonally appropriate and the ambiance was great too. Highly recommend for dinner if you’re in the Berkshires!
A phenomenal dining experience that shows just how much the owner(s) & staff put effort into their work. The Maplebrook Burratini, amongst our other dishes, on the autumn menu was no less than perfect. Would recommend anyone visit for a memorable experience.
Have been to Cafe Adam twice and both times everything was perfect. The food is very high quality. The menu is diverse. There is something for everyone. I loved the Quebec Duck Confit as much as I loved "The Vegan". There is much care and intentionality behind everything they do.
Oh my god. This place is incredible. We are getting married in the Berkshires in September but came up for a summer weekend , and this place did not disappoint. From the ambiance to the service , to the food , just top notch. We had the burrata appetizer , which was tasty , but the main courses completely stole the show. I had the tuna Bento box , I’ve never had tuna steak cooked so perfectly . It comes with a crab fritter which is to die for. My fiancé had the scallops and pork belly , there are literally no words to describe how incredible the flavors were. We can’t even think about our next meal because nothing will taste as good as this ! Also a shout out to our server, Brandon. These guys know what they’re doing!!!
Was in the area for the weekend and decided to go into town to get some dinner. Found Cafe Adams and I’m so glad I did. Got to the restaurant and got seated but took a little bit to get the waiter over but that wasn’t an issue after they brought out a black truffle appetizer that was to die for…. All complementary by the chef for the wait. The atmosphere was fantastic and our waiter was an absolute star… Answered all of our questions perfectly with all respect and smiles. Felt very welcomed in this home feel restaurant. From the food to the wine I am absolutely loving this place more and more after I left. Couldn’t be any more happier. This place needs to be on phantom gourmet ASAP!! The respect that came from our server really blew the roof off of Cafe Adams. Job well done. Definitely will be coming back very shortly just for the amazing atmosphere and food. Oh ya don’t forget to try the Fried Artichokes. Better than Rome Italy and the wine selection is to die for….

Had a great time here. Staff were super attentive and nice, fold was great. Portion size was on the "smaller" side. The Korean BBQ pork and Quebec duck were great dishes.
Absolutely wonderful food. Some of the best scallops I’ve ever had. All the food was delicious and the staff is great. One of the best restaurants in great barrington.
A waitress at Cafe Adam came to a restaurant I work at and suggested I give this place a try. I was worried about the prices and how formal it would be, but the casual, comfortable atmosphere with a sophisticated vibe really hit a home run. I often come across the problem that I could usually make what I eat at restaurants myself and it feels wasteful to go out. This was not the case at this restaurant. It is one thing to make something taste good, but the food here makes you feel good. The flavor of the obviously extremely high quality ingredients is simple but complex at the same time. The "new caprese" for example. The calamari was light and crispy but with and edge of that fatty seafood flavor. The korean bbq ribs have roasted nuts on top that at first are jarring, but work great with the mellow flavor of the meat with the vinegary pickled veg along side. The only complaint I have with the food is that the crispy pork on this tacos was dry, but had great flavor. This is absolutely not a place I will go to frequently, but for special occasions I think I may come back once a month or so. Very glad to have dined here!
We were very much anticipating our meal at Cafe Adam. We managed to get a last minute friday reservation the night before and felt like we won the lottery.
Seating was prompt and we had an awesome nook within the indoor patio section. We were bothered by mosquitoes for the entire evening (wish their were ceiling fans in that park of the nook, with the brown tufted leather couch)- { mid oct 5pm dining }
The menu is really unique and seems like there is something for everyone. Our waitress was great; she fielded our many questions about foods, ingredients, recommendations, etc.
Our appetizers: a bread order + the fried artichokes. Loved the artichoke with the aioli, but the grilled bread had strong hints of beef tallow flavors (perhaps they used the same grill for their steaks? Just a theory)
Entrees: the clam linguine; mom said they tasted great, and the serving size was plenty.
Scallop + pork belly; scallops were seared and delicious, my wife wished some of the scallops had a darker sear (color wasn’t even amongst all scallops); the pork belly portion resembled thick cut / deep fried bacon. We were hoping it was something braised or grilled. Accompanying vegetables were superb in the pesto sauce.
My dinner: steak (ribeye, medium rare) frites. Shoestring fries were plentiful and salty. Steak was beautifully medium rare, albeit a bit under seasoned. I’ve been thinking over this for some time and I realize it may be under seasoned purposely to go with their steak sauce (which tasted like a milder Hoisin sauce) or go along with the very salty fries. My only mild complaint was that I hoped the ribeye had come out with a more charred/carmelized outer crust since it was freshly grilled. Otherwise it was a delicious choice.
Dessert was the Moltado(sp?), which my wife gave two thumbs up.
Overall, a pretty good experience. Ambiance and decor were very neat, warm, and rustic.
I definitely would have swapped our bread order for their wild mushroom sautéed in butter (hen of the woods, freshly picked and displayed by the entrance), if I had to do it again.
SPECTACULAR food, attentive and friendly staff. THE place to dine in the area. The bacon wrapped dates are to die for!! Jesse the bartender is a highly skilled master of his craft. Be sure to let him create a drink for you! The caliber of restaurant I'd expect to find in Aspen, CO.
Service was outstanding!!! Every dish from appetizers to deserts was delicious! Even though we didn't have reservations, we took a chance AND BOY, IT REALLY PAID OFF!!! The Halibut, hanger steak, and linguine with prosciutto were cooked to perfection! Overall well worth the trip from Alabama!
This place is a gem. Beautiful atmosphere and refined food. The fried artichokes and scallop/pork belly dish are amazing. The banana Napoleon dessert was unbelievable, perhaps one of the best desserts I've had.
One of the best restaurants in the area. Their whole menu is fantastic from appetizers and cocktails to dessert. Headliners include their bacon wrapped dates and green chicken sando. Love their mezcal selections.
Dinner was good overall. Cocktails were tasty. The duck was great, but pasta dish was average. We would try it again.
Scallops, melon salad, and artichokes were excellent! Food was simply outstanding, best in the Berkshires for us thus far! We had a restless baby with us and they were delightful and accommodating.
