Mmmm.... Just the memory of their buttery steak in my mouth does things to me! I've spent MANY fun nights here - meeting up with friends, on first dates, on last dates (yikes! yet the food still made it a positive experience). LOVE the steak (obviously)k oysters and the atmosphere! So much fun!!!

I had never been to Graton. I didn’t even know where the town was. I knew it was somewhere in the Russian River AVA, aka Pinot Country, but that was about it. Graton is a one stop sign town, complete with two restaurants. Underwood serves some hard-core French classics, of which I’m a fan. The other restaurant in Graton serves a lot of polenta, of which I’m also a fan. But I wanted French food. It’s tough to find “traditional” French cuisine that doesn’t have too many flourishes or modern twists to it. Of course, Underwood has more modern dishes, including some Asian flared offerings, but when viewing the menu, only French classics stood out to me. I chose a set of boring classics, French onion soup, Lyonnaise salad, and mocha crème brulee. Call them the “white bread” or “vanilla” staples of French cuisine, but I figure if a French-styled restaurant can’t make these correctly, what would make me believe they could make anything else correctly either. Great food, great service. A good place to go and have a beverage at the bar, or sit down for a nicer meal. The steak was butter tender, flavorful and a satisfying size. The street parking can be a little challenging, but nothing off putting. A little noisy for quiet conversation, but not so loud as to be unable to have one.
I must say, my recent dining experience was certainly a noteworthy one! From the moment we were seated, the server was not only efficient but also welcoming, making us feel at ease and eagerly anticipating the meal to come. And what a meal it was! The cuisine was nothing short of exceptional, with two particular dishes leaving an indelible impression on me. First, the lobster mac n cheese, with its perfectly cooked pasta and succulent chunks of lobster, was an absolute standout. But that's not all - the Filet was cooked to perfection, with a seared exterior giving way to a tender, juicy center that simply melted in my mouth. Overall, my dining experience was simply outstanding, and I look forward to returning to enjoy the exceptional service and delicious cuisine once again.

Rustic meets Asian fare. Excellent.
The patio is spacious, bright and relaxing. Eat there if you can. The Hanger steak is fantastic. The Cauliflower Au Gratin is exactly what you expect; creamy and delicious. Their Mac & Cheese is for KIDS AND ADULTS (awesome). Exceptional service. Can't wait to go back and try their Thai dishes.
Absolutely delightful experience food was amazing, perfectly seasoned and large portions. The pasta salad was fantastic as was the Moroccan chicken sandwich it tasted like everything was home made and made to perfection. We went for a late lunch. The servers were super friendly and fun. The drinks were so refreshing and we took the chocolate torte cake home for dessert which was fabulous and creamy after heating in microwave for a minute. Yes it’s expensive but so much food you definitely get what you paid for very memorable lunch
The food absolutely delicious!!! One of the best tuna tartars I’ve ever had. With the kindest staff ever! The atmosphere was nice as well with nice booths and a warm lighting.
Beautiful outdoor setting. The BLT was really good. The burger is amazing. Also cooked to customers request. Tuna tar tar was also quite good. Nice flavors.
Great place to relax before or after wine tasting. Also near wonderful bike trails. So, grab your bikes, head for a ride then relax with some wonderful chicken and oysters and a well deserved glass of wine or beer 😁
My wife likes coming here when we visit our cabin during the summer. We came during covid and was sat outside which was nice. They had a limited menu with some odd asian' items. However, they did cook my hamburger perfectly rare like I love! My wife got the steak and it was a little over "rare". Then only reason truly for the for stars are that the drinks we got were "ok" and initial service was kinda slow- Roughly 10-15 minutes for someone to come over for drinks.
Cute local joint - perfect for a late lunch of oysters and Mac/Cheese. Server was attentive and pleasant! Warm chocolate cake was delicious as was the lemon torte!
This is a must when in Russian River/ Santa Rosa area. Great food, drinks, and casual atmosphere. Wait staff also very accommodating. Great for large groups and families with younger kids. Weekend nights can be crazy, so be sure to get a reservation.
