High quality products for a fair market price. Amazing store. Happy coworkers! Love this place.
This place is amazing. It's a co-op like the one in Sacramento, just a tad smaller.
Everyone is nice, the employees are courteous as well as helpful. They also have a nice, shaded, area with dog poop bag stations above. I like to sit and work or relax while my car is charging.
Oh and let's talk about the new chargers. They JUST activated these beauties. I never saw a ChargePoint fast charger before now. Reasonable and competitively priced, too.
The bonus is it is within walking distance to the local community college, Sierra College.
What i particularly like about briarpatch at this time is how careful they are about coronavirus. They only allow 40 people in the store, and masks are required. Staff is still very helpful and friendly, and the selection of organic foods is still top notch. And not as expensive as it could be.
From a Covid perspective, safest market we've been to. Masks are strictly enforced, no arguments. 40 folks maximum, so yeah, there's about a 5-minute wait. Same great selection, lots of organic / vegan / gluten-free choices, but also excellent beef, pork, seafood and poultry. Also staples and prepared food available. Can't miss!
It's great to have a grocery market like BriarPatch in Nevada County. There's a number of items that are hard to find without having to travel for 45 minutes. The prices are ridiculous, but I'm sure that doesn't surprise you.
Such a lovely establishment. All of the products are awesome from wholesome food too energy healing and holistic medicine. I highly recommend stopping here when they aren't busy. The environment is very calm and respectful. I also love the food from the deli!
I miss the old Briarpatch off of Grass Valley Highway near the nursery. The building is state of the art, they do have a deli since they opened the new place about 14 years ago. But I miss the old days and the lighter pricing. That said, I do shop there when I'm in town for some of their house made tinctures and other wellness products and I give them two more stars than the Sac CoOp! Sac CoOp could learn from the Briarpatch on customer service and friendliness. Also, I read a negative review of someone complaining that "old ladies told them to pull their masks up" of that is true, I'll more likely shop there since that means they care about my health💜
Please be thoughtful and wear a proper mask over your nose and mouth. Duh!
What do I need to say beyond what I’m sure all the locals know — this place has got it going on! If you’re visiting Nevada County or have never seen it, get to BPFC pronto. Prices are worth the selections, the staff is super-friendly and on point, and the store carries a large selection of our hero Paul Stamets good-fungi vibes. It’s a coop and it’s clear the cooperation is giving the community a great gift.
