Review Great Scott Restaurant - Grapevine

Drinks are good. Food is decent. The 4:1 ratio on the steak needs some work. Ordered the ribeye, since we r part of a party our menu was limited, but the steak is ok. The cooking of the steak is good, but the flavor needs work. For the price and expectations, I am not impressed. Try other places before this one. Hi ken was good, great sauce, but over cooked. Hopefully next time it will be better.

Everything was absolutely amazing! Every dish we tried was presented beautifully and tasted fantastic. Our server was pleasant and informative. One of the owners came by and talked for a bit, and was very welcoming. We will definitely return!

Excellent food. And our server was extremely helpful. She explained all of our options and walked us through it. Very happy.

All the Food is amazing....but the bacon jam pizza is exceptional! Staff is experienced and cares about their customer. Go eat here!

A little hard to find, but so worth it! Don't miss this gem if a restaurant! Entrées were phenomenal. They have one of the coolest private dining rooms in DFW.

Their food was good. I had elk and it was really tender. A good choice. They have a wide selection of Happy Hour choices as well!

I don't even know where to begin. This is truly one of my favorite places to eat. The owners are wonderful people. Danielle Scott personally made sure we were enjoying our evening! I have been several times and they always make sure their guests are happy and satisfied with their experience. First of all, I recommend starting the evening with a refreshing Great Gatsby or the Great Mrs. Scott. When it is over 90 degrees outside, it is so refreshing and not overly sweet. My two current favorite dishes are both on the small plates menu. Nana's crab cake and the pork belly lollipops. I am a self proclaimed foodie and there aren't many places or dishes in the metroplex that I would willingly fight someone for the last bite. I would stab someone with my fork if I had to. Both of these dishes are absolute culinary perfection. The crispy pork belly lollipops with the Orange raisin Habanero jam is my top pick. It is the perfect bite of sweet, salty and savory. So much flavor packed into a little bite sized piece of pork! The crab cake with the bechamel sauce was hands down the best crab cake I have ever eaten. Light, crispy outside that perfectly compliments the sweet, tender crab inside. I am usually hesitant to try crab cakes because most places ruin the delicate crab in an attempt to achieve the crispy exterior. Great Scott got it exactly right. If you enjoy a true culinary experience, do not miss an opportunity to visit Great Scott.

Tonight my husband and I celebrated 21 years of marriage at Great Scott! We had cocktails (An Irish Catholic and a Sazerac) both made perfectly. We started our meal with the charcuterie. The Chefs Charcuterie was not only yummy but a bargain at $24. We also ordered the Housemade Mozzarella off of the small plates menu. It was creamy with the right amount of snap. We did not order entrees this trip but spoke with our extremely knowledgeable waitress Ariel about the TexTell beef and look forward to the local raised grass-fed ribeyes on our next visit. To end our delicious meal we chose the Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert. Again we were delighted! It was the perfect way to end a meal at one of our new favorite restaurants. Before we left, Danielle one of the owners came by to ask about our meal. We were so happy to be able to tell her we loved the food and our waitress. We can't wait to go back!

Great Scott is a phenomenal food find in the mid-cities! The charcuterie is house made. Their beer and wine selections are broad and interesting and they pour honest cocktails. The menu isn’t large but the food is wonderful, beautiful and surprising. The couple who owns this place are moving around all evening, checking and chatting.

This place is a gem! I cannot put into words how wonderful this restaurant is; the food is of highest quality, and ALWAYS cooked to perfection. I'm such a picky eater, and only eat red meat every few months, and this is the only place I will go to get my filet (bc I can only eat the most rare filet possible, so it MUST be fresh). The duck, the elk are also incredible! If you're not into meat, they have a brick fire oven that they bake their pizzas in!! The owners are the most gracious hosts -I always look forward to saying hello. Their wine list is impeccable, if there's something not in the menu that you would like, your server will do everything possible to make it happen. Honestly, I just can't say enough good things about this place, so please go here if you haven't and see for yourself! (Ps, you will not leave this place hungry!! Portions are very healthy!!)

I had a wonderful birthday dinner experience here! For my birthday I wanted somewhere fun, with great drinks without being a suit and tie kind of place. I found Great Scott on yelp and decided to try it. The ambience was fun, the drinks were amazing. They had a great wine list! The food was really good I just wish the portions might be a little more for the price. The service however made the day. Friendly staff (hostess, waitress, owner, runners); everyone was wonderful! I received a free dessert since it was my birthday as well. Great experience, will definitely go back for more charcuterie board and wine!

Great dinner and company at the Great Scott last night. Mr Scott was kind enough to walk table to table introducing himself to guests and ensuring the food was exactly how we wanted it. The meal was amazing. (I recommend the sirloin ) Fun environment. We will be back. Thank you Scott family

Doesn't matter if we are just having cocktails and a pizza at the bar or a four course meal with a bottle of wine. The service is stellar and the food creative & tasty. We like these folks and are glad to have them in our backyard.

My husband suggested this for something different for our anniversary dinner. The 5 course meal with wine pairings was amazing. The espresso rubbed elk was so yummy, and we enjoyed each of the wine pairings. I don't care for scallops, and I loved the seared scallop. Jess was our waitress and was fabulous. Highly recommend!

What a fabulous environment, the food and drinks were excellent! The service was phenomenal! Definitely recommend trying it if you are in the area !!!

This restaurant has a nice atmosphere with friendly staff. The menu options are delicious and the charcuterie board is a must! There is also a very nice wine list, and a great Happy Hour!

This restaurant received a 3 simply because the staff was so nice. When they first opened up people thought the food was awesome so we finally went last night. No Bueno! Every side we tried taste like they dumped salt in the food. But my steak was done pretty Well. My husband inhaled his because he was hungry !Husband stated " that meal was not worth 200.00". The best part was the meat/cheese board. Won't go back, sadly.

Very good food and service! A new favorite place to go. The atmosphere is amazing as well. Highly recommend!!
