A nice spot right in downtown. Tried their ribey steak. Very juicy and tender. Loved their crab legs. Something unique and delicious. Have a nice selection of cocktails as well.
Located in a prime spot in Grapevine, Mac's on Main is an intimate, upscale, but affordable dining establishment. We went to meet up with some friends for dinner and drinks after touring some of the local breweries.
It was a little crowded when we got there, but we were able to sit at the bar. Our waitress/server/bartender was exceptional. She took great care of our group, even though the bar area was also a little slammed at times. The ladies ordered wine and we ordered Old Fashioneds, which were expertly and quickly made.
We ordered empanadas, shrimp etoufee, and I had the Steak Frites. Everything was delicious, perfectly seasoned, and generously portioned. We ate, had a couple more drinks, and decided to head out, as it was nearing closing time. Even though it was late, we never felt rushed and were treated to an amazing experience.
This is a great date/dinner spot. Sophisticated but not pretentious and a great menu. I've heard the brunch is spectacular as well. If you're in Grapevine and looking for food and drinks that won't disappoint, go give Mac's on Main a try
The highlight was the Goat Cheese Quesadilla appetizer. Simply delicious! The orange roughy was definitely well seasoned, but felt like it was missing something (perhaps a starch to compliment the veggies and fish). The wagyu steak burger was also delicious, meaty and hearty.
Our waiter was the lowlight of the visit. It was our anniversary dinner, and while we didn't expect the red carpet to be rolled out, we had hoped he would say more than 5 words to us. No introduction, no pleasantries, just "what to drink?" Having worked in customer service, I always try to empathize with how much work these folks have on their plate, but this gentleman definitely was checked out and just going through the motions. It was too bad, as the hostess who welcomed and sat us was wonderful. We wish she could be our waitress too!
With all of the competition around this area, this probably wouldn't be the place we would go to again for an anniversary dinner.
My husband and I stopped in for lunch. Our server Tim was excellent. We were also pleased that it wasn’t loud. We were able to relax and enjoy our meal and conversation.
Before our meal arrived we were served warm sourdough bread that was baked to perfection.
My husband had the pork chop with steak fries and I had the French onion soup and salad with sweet potato fries. Everything was prepared exactly as it should be. Both servings of fries were crispy with just the right amount of seasoning. The salad is offered with free refills. The French onion soup was delicious.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the service and atmosphere is great!
Uniquely delicious.
Came for my birthday and splurged on the Eggs Wall Street. The mix of fillet mignon with a poached egg on an English muffin seemed odd, but was absolutely came together for a delicious meal.
Always a fave. Stopped in tonight for a quick drink at the bar. Juan was great & attentive. The hostess & managers welcomed us with a friendly greeting as well.
Me and my husband came here for our adventure date challenge! The challenge was to let our server order us their 2 favorite dishes! Our server, Blake did a WONDERFUL JOB! He was so kind and he picked 2 wonderful dishes! The food was INCREDIBLE to say the least! We will be coming back!
