The Vine

Went to this restaurant on a vacation actually and had heard about from other friends who had been before. The food is very good and well prepared. You can tell it is owned by an Italian family. The menu is not very large so it is easy to pick what you want and they also have lots of Daily Specials. The bar was also very nice and had many different selections of Wine. The actual restaurant itself was very clean and the bathrooms were decent. The staff were very friendly and welcomed us in the door very nicely. Only downside is, it is a very small restaurant, yet very popular. If you don't make a reservation, you might be waiting up to and hour. This is one of our 'go to' restaurants! I love that everyone there is friendly and treats you like long time friends. Like all restaurants, we have our favorites on the menu and we have our not so favorites. We go often for our favorites because they are very delicious. Prices are reasonable. Usually a good value depending on the portion sizes that day. Sometimes we get a good quantity and the next time, on the same item, we don't. The cooking/preparation of the meals is pretty consistent, we just wish the quantity was too. It is really nice when you find a restaurant that makes you feel at home. I cant recommend The Vine enough for a calm and relaxing meal. Although, I would prefer to keep this gem to myself!

Nice local establishment with surprisingly good food. I was concerned that I would not get a decent meal while working in Grants Pass for a few weeks, but The Vine was a pleasant surprise. The dishes are traditional italian dishes with a nice personal touch of the chef. I would recommend anyone try them if you are through the area.
