Gigi's Cupcakes

Ordered a cake that feeds 20 people. When I picked it up it was a 10 inch layered cake - and the lady said: you can cut it in 50 small one inch squares, so if it can feed 50 (!) it can also feed 30 people. A ten inch cake! Too bad nobody told us about this way of cutting a cake before (if you cut it this way, you have pieces without frosting because you have to cut horizontally, too). Hurray a one square inch piece of cake for a high school graduate ... I asked the owner if she ever tried herself cutting this cake which fed 12 people barely (regular triangular slices) in 50 slices (she siad 50 on the phone!): "No I haven't, but I know that ... caterers can because we have a chart." Because she has a chart - ah - but never tried it herself. From a professional store I expect professional advice. The quality of the chocolate cake itself was ok but not outstanding. Below is the store owner - not sorry at all - self defensive that it was a cake for 21 people - again if you cut it in abnormally small pieces of one inch - who does that at a private party? Last time I overpaid for the mediocre service there. Did you realize that she avoids the question whether she ever actually tried to cut 21 pieces herself out of this cake? She never has ... very professional indeed.
