Review Tasty Gyro Coney Island - Grand Rapids

I went here for the first time recently and couldn't be happier. I ordered online but for some reason it didn't print my ticket so the food wasn't ready when I got there. Saying that they were so friendly and quick to get my order done despite the technical issue. I got the gyro platter and every bite was delicious. There was so much food and that tzatziki sauce is the best. Worth every single penny. I'll be back without a doubt.

I stopped in for lunch takeout last minute, when I had a craving for chicken shawarma salad. I have to eat gluten free and there are plenty of options here. I would say the restaurant has "gluten sensitive" options, because meat is prepared on the same grill as everything else, The plates, platters, salads, and other options are prepared from the same buffet line. This is a food preparation buffet line, similar to Subway, and not a public food buffet. The serving staff were very polite, kind, and friendly. They helped me prepare a meal according to my gluten allergy. From what I saw, the very slight chance of exposure was low and wouldn't be an issue for me. The chicken shawarma salad was absolutely delicious and I highly recommend it. All of the lettuce, pickled turnips, onions, olives, dressings, and garlic sauce were very fresh. The salad and toppings were cold, while the chicken shawarma was hot. The salad was very flavorful with a great mix of options. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend checking out the restaurant. I didn't ask, but with the friendly staff, I'm sure they would have taken extra steps to make sure there was even less chance of gluten exposure.

This place is AMAZING! We had the Gyro, which was packed with so much meat and toppings - just delicious. My daughter had the Chicken Shawarma sandwich - incredible! My son ordered the Philly Steak Sub and hasn't stopped talking about it - just packed with meat and cheesy goodness. The Greek Fries are a must - so delicious, creamy and decadent. The owners are friendly, generous with toppings and make each meal like they are feeding their own family. We can't wait to go back.

I had no idea this place was even there! Went there for the first time earlier in September and I've went back at least once every week. The Giovanni Burger...WOW! Don't take my word for it, just try it. The gyros? Full of flavor just stacked with meat. They are very generous with their portions. Definitely in my Grand Rapids Hidden jewels list.

There are no restaurants in our area that serve authentic gyros. Therefore, we have to drive almost an hour to Grand Rapids to be able to get one. We used to go to the pita house. However, their hours have changed, and this has made it basically impossible to go there anymore. So we done some searching and found Tasy Gyro & Coney Island! Delicious authentic gyros! Our food was delicious. Our cook/server was friendly and personable. She was good with the customers. We will return again. We will make the hour drive!

They have very tasty Philly Cheese Steaks, Chicken Philly and the Greek Fries are wonderful and flavorful. Baklava is just the right sweetness and full of flavor. Gyros are out this world good!! Very friendly staff and very efficient!! Going back real soon!!

This place is one of my favorite spots! The food is always on point! They take care of their customer with a personal touch! Ty is always taking my orders and knows it down to the sauce! My gyro stays ready!💯🤤😂🥙🤤🔥🔥🔥! The Phillys are 🔥, the chopped cheese and shawarma go nutty with the gyro fries! I suggest adding gyro meat! 💯🍗 🥜🤤🔥!!!! This is an exceptional trait which promote their longevity! That garlic sauce make a statement! I recommend 💯💯💯👨🏾‍🍳🐝

Let me tell you the story. I visioned a mouth watering fresh Chicago Dog. We looked up Coney island and was on the way... Then my wife said she wanted a tender gyro so this is where we came. The service from start was warm and friendly. Watching the process of making the food was even more satisfying as they seem to make it with care and passion. You can smell the goodness in the air and upon getting the food................. No other words but OMG MMMMMMMMMMM with every bite. From traveling all over the country if your in Grand Rapids and crave or just want to take my post for it this is the best you'll find! Comment if you don't.

It was me and sons first time we each had there tasty gyros delicious with complimentary lentil soup was spot on we will be back for more do yourself a favor and give it a try you'll be back guaranteed.

Absolutely delicious gyro, incredible food. Without question the best service I've ever had at a restaurant. Tai was incredible and warm and helped us order.
