Every time I've been here, the donuts are fresh baked and delicious. There is a lot of variety. Customer service is very courteous and kind. Love this business!

THE BEST DONUTS. PERIOD. I’ve been all over the US/other countries, tried many donut shops. In GR, THIS is the THE PLACE!
And… They have orange icing! If you don’t see any out there, ask for it and they will go make one! So very yummy!
If you know of any other places that compare, please let me know, and I’ll try them out.
Quick question: Does ANYONE know if they are open today? It’s Labor day, 2023 and my 7 year old started talking about donuts this morning… When I call I just get voicemail, but maybe they are just to bust to answer? Trying to “crowdsource” the answer to this… 😄

Great donut shop right here in Cutlerville!!! The couple that runs Phoenix Rising Bakery runs a a great small business.The staff is very nice and helpful!!! The donuts are delicious. Try there muffins as well.They have hot coffee and juices and pop to drink. Highly recommend Phoenix Rising Bakery!!!

Honestly, probably the best bakeries I’ve been to in the Grand Rapids area.
They often have these homemade sausage rolls (pigs in a blanket you might call them) which are delicious, a touch sweeter than typically found but delicious regardless. The owners are just fantastic, salt of the earth type people. Sometimes they throw in a free doughnut which is always a delightfully delicious surprise. Muffins are on par or better than Nantucket baking company. Prices are more than reasonable unlike Nantucket.

I had a little donut and coffee break here $3.95. The donuts are good--not too small (Krispy Kreme) and not so big that you feel bloated, save it for later, or make people cringe by asking if they would like the other half.
Nice variety without being overwhelming, and the coffee was very good.

Fast and friendly service. Fresh donuts daily and they have a breakfast sandwich with ham or turkey, egg, and cheese on a croissant. Yum

The best donuts in the Grand Rapids area hands down! The rose petal donuts in particular are amazing, the fritters are uniquely crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I also appreciate their sausage rolls for a savory treat. Service is so friendly and they consistently include an extra donut or two with any order. Will continue to recommend Phoenix Rising to anyone in West Michigan.

If you're into good donuts and pastries, and a nice cup of coffee definitely check this place out. Stopped by late one day to pick up a half dozen and was sad to know they were out, but they created a whole tray of there new Boston cream croissants and was amazed by how light, fluffy, and delicious they were. Ended up buying a half dozen of them instead. 😄

My MIL and I stopped here for a coffee and refresher before some more travel. We left with six delicious fresh doughnuts and a hot coffee. There was a variety to choose from at the time we came in- I know some bakeries who are out of stock by Noon. We visited around 1100. Outdoor sign says open 0500 AM -0430 PM. Some regulars were in their corner having their morning doughnuts and coffee. Clean restrooms. Kind staff. Glad to support a local business. Look out for the word « Doughnuts »!
