Fish Lads has always been a favorite of ours at Downtown Market. My wife prefers their Fish and Chips, while I love their Fish Tacos (pictured). They just recently updated their Fish Tacos recipe and I really love the changes. I highly suggest giving them a try!

This place is crazy busy so figure out what you want before you get up to order. Beautiful fresh seafood and fish to take home to cook. They also have the best lobster roll I have ever eaten. It's a bit pricey for lunch but worth every penny. So... so very good. Check out their other order to go foods like their seafood salad, also outstanding.

Omg best seafood I've ever had in Michigan. The fresh market catch feel and taste of all their items are amazing. We had literally the best Maine Lobster roll ever! Blackened Salmon and Panko white fish sandwiches. Fries were great and even sauces were scratch made and delicious.

Very pricey, but a great selection of fresh seafood. The Lobster Roll was amazing and I don't regret spending $28 for it. The Fries are really good too and the others in my party loved the Fish and Chips!

Freshest and best seafood in GR, must try the salmon jerky, the downtown market has a beautiful atmosphere, Fish Lads has a phenomenal lunch menu, pretty expensive though.

I used to come here for fried clams and the Blackened fish years ago and kind of forgot they existed. I walked into the Market to pick up my lunch takeout from a different restaraunt and saw Fish Lads. I ran over and impulse bought an entire second lunch and I have no regrets about it.
I have a gluten intolerance and after mentioning this they breaded the fish with corn meal for my Fish and Chips and it's the first time I've had fish and chips in over a decade.
Seriously. Best decision I have made today.

I want to eat here everyday! Awesome friendly staff , excellent fresh seafood and preparations. I would highly recommend order a dish from this place and pick an appropriate bottle of wine from Appertivo -- they are fantastic as well. I got their cheese plate while waiting for my food to be finished cooking.

My son and I came in this afternoon and ha your crab benedict. Benedicts are my sof spot and I can say that this is the BEST benedict I have ever had. I was afraid it would just have a few bits of crab. Boy was I wrong. It was loaded with crab, the poached eggs were done to perfection and the hollandaise had just the right amount of lemon. I eas in benedict heaven. I will be back.

I'm sure I would love to try everything on the menu. But I started with the lobster roll. The most expensive item on the menu, I thought it was dry, bland and could not taste any of the clarified butter. I sat on an uncomfortable, cold metal stool, served by young men with unkept hair, who served me my beverage with their hands and fingers on the lip of my glass. Doubtfully I'd go back.

We picked up some Halibut this afternoon at the Ada store. Fish Lads never fails to provide the freshest and highest quality seafood. We brought it home and broiled it for dinner. Diane made fresh chutney and fresh black bean chili sauce for toppings. It was spectacular! Also, Fish Lads, thank you for the few pieces of Salmon Jerky I purchased. Tasty and addictive, for sure! You guys are the best!

This is my favorite place to eat! The fish and chips (fries) are fantastic and I LOVE their sauce! I hate tartar sauce but I wish I could buy theirs in gallons. I even dip my fries in it.
