Review Leo's Seafood Restaurant & Bar - Grand Rapids

I had an exceptional time at Leo's! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The service was impeccable, and the food exceeded my expectations. From appetizers to dessert, each dish was masterfully prepared and incredibly flavorful. The ambiance added to the overall experience, making it a memorable visit. Leo's certainly deserves a solid 5-star review for delivering such a wonderful dining experience. I'll definitely be returning!

Fabulous meal in a classy, upscale setting. Beautifully decorated for the holidays! The staff was so friendly and accommodating. I was here with a group of my colleagues and we all had a great time. I look forward to coming back soon, for a romantic, dinner for two with my fiance' !

My overall grade for Leo’s Seafood Restaurant is: A I was a bit pleasantly surprised that such a high-quality seafood restaurant existed in Grand Rapids. The menu is great and the wine list is very decent. Started with their duet cakes: a crab cake & a shrimp & lobster cake. While I wish they were a bit larger, it is what it is. Great flavor. To pair with our seafood, I spied a 2008 Chablis. Very unusual to see a nice white with age on a wine list. Thanks Leo’s! My wife ordered Chilean sea bass. Delicious. Our server recommended the bouillabaisse. Wow. All sorts of seafood and to top it off, they crack it all for you table side. So great. I rarely call out servers by name, but last night, this server made the entire experience much more enjoyable. “Sam” (Samantha) really demonstrated how well this position can be executed. Warm, friendly & knowledgeable about wine & the menu. Great interaction and helped us order a great meal. Lou’s should do all they can to keep her happy. Ask for Sam when visiting. Skipped dessert but coffee was good. What could make it perfect? Valet parking. We will return. Great experience, highly recommended.

I had a great experience at Leo’s. The service was outstanding from the minute I walked in the door. I dined here solo. I ordered the swordfish entree, lobster and crab bites, and salad. The swordfish was cooked perfectly. The dinner rolls were an added bonus. Definitely a quality meal. Highly recommend.

Amazing everything. Service, food, atmosphere. Had the scallops for an app. A must do. My husband had surf n turf, I had the special of crab legs. All of it was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Would recommend every time you come to GR.

This is a late review, but my family went here for Mother’s Day and everyone loved it!! I booked a reservation for us and we were seated within minutes. Our server was very polite and made sure to check-in on us when they could. We all enjoyed the food and had nothing bad to say about it. I had the corn chowder + the crab cakes and both were delicious!! I tried my grandpa’s seafood platter and the crab meat fell out of the shell so nicely & whole. The desserts were also very good. Overall, wonderful experience and the atmosphere was nice - not chaotic at all.

We drove in from Lansing, which is about 45 minutes to Grand Rapids. Making a reservation was very easy. Please tell them whether it’s a birthday celebration anniversary or any other noteworthy event. Everything was absolutely delicious. The drinks were perfect. The lobster was perfect. My friend said that the filet mignon was the best that she ever had. I love bread, and their bread was warm and soft. So good. It was a nice opportunity to take a short drive and just have conversation. It was a great time. Happy birthday Mimi.

Amazing service, delicious drinks, and well-prepared dishes! Clarified White Russian - doesn’t look like how it tastes, which was wild. It was a fantastic coffee-inspired drink. Highly recommend seared scallops, lobster bisque, and bouillabaisse!

Perfect option for upscale seafood/steak with fair prices. Atmosphere was perfect but it's definitely not the fanciest place around. Service was superior. Will definitely come back.

07/20/23 - Another fantastic dinner, again 5☆ Chilled Gazpacho, Wedge Salad, PEI Mussels! Fabulous Seafood restaurant! Chilled Gazpacho, Seafood Pan Roast... both outstanding! Service is beyond exceptional. Brooke clearly understands the entire menu. She is excellent! A must visit!

Service was awesome our waiter was great, our glasses never got empty! Food was exceptionally great, best Alaskan crab I've had ! Will definitely be returning and definitely recommend! Second dining: food looked like it was chewed up and spit on my plate. Previously the waiter had cracked the crab leg and served it with the meat in the shell. The waiters this time DESTROYED the meat in the crab legs, shredded more then half the meat and brought it to us. The meat was not warm as it sat on my plate for 10 minutes before we started eating plus however long it was on the plate when they were hacking away at it... I would've had to scarf down my $70 plate of crab legs just to eat it warm. They were out of salmon, perch, Wallaye, soft crab, and AIR CONDITIONING. place was hot!! No moving air whatsoever. When we asked the waiter he said " I can't say anything except we are all affected by it..." First experience, GREAT! Second experience, made me never want to go back. Excellent seafood restaurant. Varied and interesting menu, comprehensive wine and beverage list, great desserts and appetizers, beautiful dining area, knowledgeable and accommodating staff. Highly recommend.

It was our anniversary and we really like Leo's . We had a great booth and a outstanding waiter ( Fred ) . We had the beef carpaccio, it was excellent but came without the Parmesan , the toast was looking nice , but was cold and flimsy. The selection on dry rose wine was a little bit disappointing, because there is only one . Instead we ordered a Sauvignon blanc , was good . The halibut what I had was a little bit overlooked , but my husband enjoyed his . Very yummy was key lime Creme brûlée. Over all we had a very enjoyable evening !

meal was great, had the NY strip, Sarah was our waitress did a outstanding job, Mr Leo can you please put the rib eye back on the menu , i had it once there and it was one of the best steaks i have ever had, when you do put it on the menu please contact me here on facebook

Fabulous food. Amazing staff. Great spot! PS it’s not just a fish house. Their steaks are top notch too.

Had the crab cake duo, lobster bisque, surf and turf, wife had the grouper oscar and desert. We Absolutely loved every bit! Plus their fresh baked rolls! Steak was a perfect med-rare. Still have dreams about the lobster bisque with ginormous chucks of lobster. House made deserts so good. Usually I say I don’t mind paying a lot for great food. This is the first case at a nice restaurant I would say I would pay more for the same experience.

Upscale class w great steaks 🥩 n seafood 🦐 🐟 and a first class wine list. Prepare to pay 💰 but it’s worth it.

What a great restaurant! Love the ambiance with the jazz music playing in the background. The food was excellent and our waiter Quinn was superb!!

My significant other and I stopped in close to closing time. The staff were amazing and professional. Our waiter was prompt but not overbearing (as can be the case). The food was absolutely delicious. Everything. From the rolls to the steak entree, cooked to perfection and seasoned well. Highly recommend!

After a very disappointing experience at another downtown seafood restaurant for Valentines Day, we wanted a do-over. Leo’s was awesome! Fred was a terrific server and the food was excellent.

Love this restaurant! The food & service is phenomenal. Highly recommend the pretzel encrusted walleye!!! Plus they make the best homemade desserts & Cosmopolitan in town.

Quiet, elegant, spacious contemporary interior! A great backdrop for splendid food and drinks! Our 42nd Anniversary dinner was exceptional, as have been every other dinner we have enjoyed here! Chef Bernard has a way with great food! Thanks for a very memorable evening! We love Leo's!

Leo's brought the contemporary class to Grand Rapids. Great food, exceptional service along with a comforting atmosphere combined for an incredible dining experience. 10/10 recommend.

We stopped in for dinner before a concert. Exceeded my expectations. The food was excellent and on par with some of the greatest steak and seafood houses I have ever been to (Ruth Chris, Morton's, ChopHouse, Gibsons, Shaw's, etc.). The wait staff was very professional and engaging. I will definitely make a return visit.

The scallops that I had wrapped with smoked salmon was awesome would definitely order it again the Sashimi appetizer and also the crab cakes were also great was very surprised that the banana mousse was sold lights was never let down any time we were there would definitely keep coming back

This is an outstanding restaurant to eat at. I have never ever had a sub par meal. Everything is fresh from scratch and very good.

We had an excellent lunch at Leo’s last week and they even accommodated my daughter with crab legs which is only served on the dinner menu so kudos to Leo’s
