We visited for lunch to try the chicken fried steak and it was delicious. The meat was tender and flavorful. All of the sides were just as good. It's been a long time since I've had hush puppies, but they were as good as any that I remember. Our server was polite and attentive while the atmosphere was calm and clean. We each ordered pie for dessert which I highly recommend, even if you to take it to go.

Real Southern Comfort food served here that hits the spot!!! Chicken Fried Steaks, Catfish, Shrimp, Burgers, Appetizers, and really great sides. The cream gravy was so good I could have made a meal out of that!!!😁 Located just off the beautiful town square in Granbury, Texas. Right in the shadow of the Elegant Hood County Courthouse! Lots of shops to take in around the town square.

What a great restaurant find. Chicken fried steak, catfish and home made Texas chili and sides of mac-n-cheese, pinto beans, jalapeno hush puppies all of which were handmade and wonderful. Great service from Anne and a nice atmosphere. Recommended with flying colors.

Linda, whoever she is, did a great job. The food and service here are exceptional. I got the mushroom burger, and was surprised and somewhat dismayed to find that my $10 had gotten me a massive sandwich loaded down with extras. Pleased notwithstanding. This place is a great value and both an awesome alternative to a place like Cracker Barrel, or one of the industrial burger mills south of Lake Granbury.

Update - Previous review is below. Well, I came back with family at 2:30 on a Saturday. The food was just as good as before. We had the fish and chips, catfish & shrimp combo, and patty melt. I couldn't leave without a good cup of coffee and a piece of their buttermilk pie. Great atmosphere, attentive and welcoming staff. The food was well prepared. I had a Reuben that was as good as it gets. For desert, I had the most wonderful buttermilk pie and a good cup of coffee. I'll be back!!

Check out the AMAZING garlic cheese curds! The food here REALLY TASTY. Lots if Southern favorites plus daily specials like turkey and dressing or meatloaf. Leave room for their great pies! Sherry was our wait staff twice...she is also highly recommended! Check out the great grub while enjoying Granbury.

Edited to a 1, and a negative five if possible. A family member wanted a pie and they tried to charge her 30 bucks for it. I told her she would be stupid, we went to the store bought ten bucks worth of ingredients and made three pies of high quality. --------------------------- I took a friend there for lunch today. First I want to say service was awesome. So the two stars has nothing to do with cleanliness of the restaurant or the exceptional service. The prices were probably 20% higher than they should have been. They have a lighter portion with a little less price, but that price is about the same as regular restaurant or actually a little more. The chicken-fried steak a was little over breaded, it made it look a little bigger than It was and I really did not like the batter. The jalapeno nuggets where not to my taste. The hamburger my partner had he said was pretty good, although he did not like the fries. Two people for lunch with two lemonades was $26. They did not have a lunch menu nor did they have a senior's menu. They did have a kids menu.
