This is a great bar/restaurant in Government Camp. It's rustic, but has a good variety of menu selections. Indoor seating is bar-only, so no minors and you order food at the bar (no table service), but there is a separate "restaurant entrance" for families with outdoor seating and table service. One of the only places in town that was open for lunch on a weekday when we visited, but I would definitely recommend the place for a cold drink and a warm meal.

We had good experience here. Good food and service. For halal food eaters, you can replace the meat with beyond burgers.

All thumbs-up for the food, the ambience and the staff. Loved the coziness of the place at 5he backdrop of the mountain itself. The bar's a separate place and there is an even more private dining area. Weekends here are super busy (and rightfully so). We here in a weekday and we're floored by the personal attention from the staff and the openness to accommodate our dietary requests!

I was greeted right away by the bartender/waiter. He was friendly, helpful, present, attentive, had humor, and was a good conversationalist. It was a very relaxing, welcoming atmosphere. I ordered food and beverages and everything was so good. I know I will go to Charlie's again and again and again. Highly recommended.

Delicious food. I had Elk burger and Shrimp Bisque, but I had to ask for the burger to be cooked more. The timing was off by the cook and waitress and not all the food was presented at the same time.

Really really really damn good BLT, burgers looked epic... Fries were really good as well... Atmosphere, spartan .. but it was filled with your snow loving folks... I like Charlie's a lot!

Pretty awesome location in Government Camp right under the beautiful Mt Hood! Great bar selections. Burgers were cooked perfectly. Pork belly tacos were great. Flat bread with salami and pesto was a treat for sure! Had a seat out side and enjoyed the sunshine.

Loved the vibe! Perfect place to get a drink and a bite to eat after hitting the slopes. Highly, highly recommend the cassoulet soup - the meat was so tender and flavor was on point! Cheers!

Always love this place. Breakfast on weekends is great! Uki makes a killer Bloody Mary; and Aaron always makes lunch great. Chicken fried steak was great and the wings are also Recommended. Any soup made by Hippie is also great; particularly the Pepper Pot Soup

Restaurant offers good food and friendly service. My wife and I ordered the avocado lime shrimp and the cod fish and chips. Both tasted delicious. The cook did forget the avocado in the salad, but that was remedied quickly.

Rustic. That was my initial opinion of Charlie's. It is a nice little spot that seems to be a favorite hangout amongst the locals. The staff was okay but the cheeseburger and fries that I had was really good! The fries were crispy and golden brown just the way I like it. Lighting is medium which provides a soft, comfortable atmosphere and there's a wonderful wood stove to keep everyone warm. Sitting or standing near it is quite welcoming on a cold day!

Govy isn't a resort town without Charlie's. It's a must stop location for us. Best food, drinks, service and atmosphere. I feel relaxed and taken care of when I stop into Charlie's. Michael was our bartender this trip and was energetic and and friendly. Best visit to date!

Overall a great spot. A little pricey for my taste, but the food and drinks hold up. Stuffs just more expensive with a captive audience up on the mountain. Staff is fantastic and the patio is dog friendly. Craft food and drinks, worth a stop 100%.

had a lot of choices on the menu. My Reuben was too soggy, but I love that they have the good outdoor seating because we had our dog with us.
