Great home-style cooking if you’re driving through Gonzales and looking for somewhere to grab a bite. It is not fancy by any means but they serve up some delicious food. The restaurant is full of regulars so if you’re from out of town you may get a few stares across the room but the food and service are amazing. My burger was expertly prepared and so tasty. The kids loved the Mac n cheese. Overall, a solid restaurant for a great meal and delicious comfort food.

After a nice hike at Palmetto park we decided to have dinner in Gonzales Texas. I ordered the chicken fried steak and my wife ordered an enchilada plate. My meal had a big portion a chicken fried steak along with a baked potato. My meal was tasty and satisfying except the waitress didn't bring my vegetable. The enchilada plate was excellent!!. The service was good not great. Our meals were very affordable.

The food was really good and the prices were great. If you drink soda, they are by the can and not unlimited. That wasn't a problem for us cuz we drink good ole sweet tea. Only thing inconvenient was the waitress didn't listen very well and we had to repeat our order 2-3 times for what seemed like everything we wanted. But in the end we got what we ordered.

At 2pm the place was packed. I've never had a meal here. They have all been outstanding. You can't beat the chicken fried steak. I recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting down home cooked food.

My friends had different meals and seemed to like what they had. I had only onion rings and they were yummy. Service was pretty quick and friendly. Not haute cuisine, just down home and ample. And cheap!

Disappointed by the chicken salad. Huge pieces of tomato and small pieces of chicken , cheese was barely visible. Boiled eggs were ok . Some croutons would have been nice and the ranch tasted like milked down Mayo. .. try harder please. And it also took forever to get our order taken and even longer to get it.. I know it was a busy day but come on waitresses standing in a pack not doing anything but waiting so please while your not doing anything take an order or hey a drink would be nice..

Cow Palace serves good food at good prices via good service. My favorite is the fried shrimp dinner, but there are many great itmes on the menu. Best salad bar in Gonzales.

This has always been a favorite place for delicious food. A juicy steak or crunchy chicken fried chicken, love salad bar. But, lately their customer service is lacking. The young waitress's flirt shamefully with elderly men. The last 2 times I've been here, they've gotten our order wrong. Definitely, will be looking for another place to eat a decent meal.
