Baker Boys Bbq

Passing through town around lunchtime and so we stopped here. I had the meal with one meat and 2 sides for $11. The beef brisket was melt in your mouth tender and so flavorful. With or without the sauce it was delicious. I had bbq 3 times during our Texas visit and this was by far the best. There is plenty of indoor seating and groups can be well spaced apart. Highly recommend!

Texas BBQ served with a smile. A plate of Baker Boys brisket and sides will fill you up for the day. The meat was super-tender with great flavor. No need for sauce. The sides did not disappoint- Mac n cheese and green beans were a hit. If you’re in Gonzales and in the mood for awesome Texas barbecue, Baker Boys is a great place to stop and feed the whole family.

Great bbq joint that all the locals seem to drop by for. Quality, great tasting brisket. Ribs were tender and smoked to perfection. The turkey was the best of the three. It had a smokey flavor and was very tender. Sides were acceptable. Chocolate pie was delicious and topped it off. Owner came to our table and asked how our meal was. Great service.

Clean, friendly staff, easy access from the highway, great selection of different meats and sides. I wish I could say the BBQ is amazing. My partner had the chopped beef sandwich, which resembled a sloppy joe in texture, appearance and taste. Was it brisket at one time? Maybe chipped, but not chopped, over-sauced and over-salted. The bun could have been amazing if it had been warmed, or anything other than straight out of a bag. I had brisket and sausage. Brisket was juicy, tender, gorgeous smoke ring. I would have liked more flavor. The sausage likewise looked perfect, too salty for me. Hate to harp, but everything just needed a punch of flavor for our taste. Lots of locals there, they seemed to love everything!
