Better than most TexMex in the area. The pared down menu works better I think. Good sized bar. There are a lot of parking demands in this area but they do try to accommodate. Staff is always friendly but I’m never here at peak times and get food to go.
Good mexican food. I like to order the soft tacos with the rice and beans!!! its really good!!! i also like to get the candies up front when i leave!!!:)
Consistent. This place has become a regular stop for me as we eat here at least twice a week and sometimes more. Good, consistent mexican food. The atmosphere is something that we have been needing in Gonzales. Nice clean restaurant where you can get a quick bite or sit and relax while watching a ball game. Also a nice place to have a business lunch.
Good!. I recently ordered beef Tacos el Carbon and it was wonderful! Everything was flavorful and tasty! I would encourage everyone will like this fine out-of-the-way mexican place!
Best Tex-Mex in the parish. I've been eating high-quality Tex-Mex for 60+ years in every city (and many small towns) in Texas, and when I moved to Baton Rouge a dozen years ago I didn't expect to be able to keep it up. However, I found Casa Maria on Bluebonnet and was very, very happy with it. (Read my review.) We moved to Ascension after Katrina and I made a point of driving up there every week or two for my fix. Now they've opened this new place on Airline and I couldn't be happier. Identical menu, an excellent cook obviously trained at the home location, and friendly and efficient service. It didn't take them long to start being crowded in the evening, but they have a big room and I've never had to wait more than a couple of minutes.
Food is good. Service was good. Margarita was over priced.

A sign Gonzales is growing up. It was really nice to see them building a new restaurant like this on Airline in Gonzales. The shopping center really improved the looks of that area and I was really happy to see one of my ole favorites from Baton Rouge built in my home town. I love the floorplan and the size of the bar.
Awesome place!!!!!!!. The food there is really good it is actually real mexican food :) though it may take a while during lunch hour to get a table it is worth the wait.the fajitas are really good,plus u can share or not.
Best Mexican Restaurant in Gonzales!. Before Casa Maria went into business I had to go all the way to Baton Rouge to eat at a really nice Mexican restaurant. I also went to El Meskal but that place was not ass good as Casa Maria.
Also if your really not that hungry but you go with somebody to accompany them don't pick the Nachos. They give you so many the plate is rediculously large!
Went to Casa Maria with my family today. The hostess was friendly and fast to seat us and we were in a perfect area to sit and accommodating was perfect(I am in a motorized wheelchair). The waitress was super sweet and was fast in serving us. We had special requests due to medical stuff no salt and such and they did FANTASTIC!! Food was fresh, hot, and didn’t take too long. I highly recommend! Thank you Casa Maria for being so wonderful!!!
Love this place when we travel out that way! We always get super nice bartenders. I absolutely LOVE the Chantilly margarita! I believe its tequila, amaretto, and berries soaked in chocolate liqueur. So good!
We also love the bean dip with the queso and jalapenos on top. Yum!@
Bar is good (Alex is our favorite bartender). Restaurant overall is good for kids and groups, but probably not a date night, other than the bar atmosphere.
Large party called ahead & was seated/greeted quickly. Food quality was great. Portions were fantastic. Staff worked hard and was pleasant. Would visit again if in town. A+
Great Mexican food and friendly staff. A regular lunch spot for us. Quick service and courtesy. The tacos and taco salad are a regular and always good.
Food was good, cocktails were awesome and our service was outstanding! Definitely going back!
